The FYUG programme based on NEP is aimed at holistic development of the students. The courses
are offered in various baskets to fulfil for the overall development of the students. The skill-based
courses, the multidisciplinary courses, the ability enhancement courses, value added courses &
vocational courses are offered right from the beginning. Apart from this the students choose the
specialization from the first semester from the five streams offered: Marketing management, Financial
management, Human resource management, International Business & Business Analytics. This helps

The Corporate Affairs Cell aims to provide students with training in different areas by organizing
various webinars to help them get trained and better understand the corporate world's different aspects.
The webinars were on different corporate and industry-related topics such as resume building, and
corporate readiness series.
This year, the Corporate Affairs Cell was successful in recruiting the following firms: Genpact, S&P
Global, Wunderman Thompson Commerce (a subsidiary of the WPP group), Zomato, Decathlon,
Larsen and Toubro, ICICI Securities, and other similar businesses. Both placements and summer
internships are available to students through these organizations. The specifics of the placements,
including the ultimate placement and SIP in these businesses, are presented in the table below. These
organizations have offered both placements and summer internships to the students. The final
placement and the SIP in these companies are encouraging, the details of the placements are shared in
the table below.

Equip the student The Entrepreneurship Development Cell is a student body at Symbiosis Centre for
Management Studies, Noida aiming to encourage and assist budding entrepreneurs. EDC

interconnected, needed to embark upon the journey towards the unknown and unexplored zones of

entrepreneurship.
1. Guest lectures: It is always beneficial for aspiring entrepreneurs to interact with experts
and gain insights into the real world. Successful entrepreneurs are invited by EDC to discuss
their experiences and difficulties along the way. Topics include product development,
marketing and attracting investors.
3. Start-Up Case Study Challenge: Many case study competitions are organized where a
business case problem is presented to stimulate one's intellect and hone one's business
acumen.

2. Webinar 2: Mr. Arjun Panchal, the founder of Papazata and author of the book 'What
Happens in America Startup Mentor' marked his magnanimous presence at the event and
enlightened the students with his exceptional business acumen. Mr. Panchal began by
highlighting how to identify the target audience for both B2B and B2C businesses. He gave
certain equations for maximum customer satisfaction and cost-effectiveness.
3. Webinar 3: This webinar was hosted by Aaysha Agrawal, who handled the Q&A session
between Mr. Panchal and the [Link] also introduced the Minimum Viable Product,
pilot testing method and traction strategies for the future prospects of the company.
1. Project Leafafaa:
Project Leafafaa is a project initiated by the students of Entrepreneurship Development Cell,
SCMS- NOIDA Leafafaa aims to provide our customers with a wide range of customizable paper
bags. These can be specially made for various occasions, brand collaborations and much more.
Adding to the already environmentally friendly cycle, our bags are made from recycled or eco-
friendly paper, which is not only made from recycled material but is also highly biodegradable,
helping the seeds to grow. The paper bag will be available in several different sizes and
dimensions to meet the needs of a wide range of customers and can be used by retailers for
packaging purposes.
● Inauguration: To symbolize the start of the project, The cell organized the launch event. This
event was graced by Director of SCMS, Noida Sir, Dr. K.P. Venugopala Rao, Deputy Director,
Dr. Nidhi Phutela, Area Chair Marketing, Dr. Priya Grover, Assistant Professor, Dr. Kriti Priya
and Dr. Shinu Vig.
● Tie Global Competition: Students represented ED Cell, SCMS-NOIDA in the TIE Global
Competition with the project Leafataa. The students were selected for the Global Cohort and
studied with teams from 17 nations around the world.
● Enactus Nationals: The team participated in the Enactus National Competition

2. Project Tarutra:
To enter into the social entrepreneurship space, the cell launched "Project Tarutra - Unearth the life
within you". It focused on uplifting a community of blacksmiths and potters known as 'Gada' and we
sought to provide them with a sustainable market and a decent income by acting as an intermediary
between them and our customers.
The cell facilitated all qualitative, quantitative, transportation and packaging services to provide our
clients with superior quality products at minimum prices and maximum blessings.
3. Project Aadhwan:
As this global pandemic affected more and more lives and the environment through waste, the cell
brought project "Aadhwan Skill, Stich, Sustain" through which students tried to manage waste using
4Rs and this aimed to work for the upliftment of tailors and home helps. The business model was based
on upcycling and recycling of fabric waste generated by the textile industry to develop sustainable
fashion using eco -friendly methods.
4. House on fire:
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell successfully hosted its first offline event, ‘House On Fire.’
This remarkable event provided participants with an unforgettable opportunity to demonstrate their
problem-solving skills and unleash their entrepreneurial potential.
The event commenced with an exhilarating quiz on Day 1, where participants were challenged to
showcase their knowledge and advance in the competition. With an impressive turnout of 169
participants, their quiz responses were meticulously recorded for further evaluation.
The top 10 finalists faced a daunting situation and were tasked with presenting their groundbreaking
startup ideas to overcome the given predicament. This round served as a litmus test for their ability
to thrive under pressure and exhibit visionary leadership.
The event was graced by distinguished judges: Dr Prashant Yadav, Dr Praveen Shrivastava, and Mr
Vikrant Vikram. Their profound insights and expertise added immense value to the event, ensuring a
comprehensive evaluation of the participants' ideas.
5. Symudhyam:
The Cell, in collaboration with QIC, proudly presented the inaugural edition of "Symudhyam." This
prestigious annual event, hosted by SCMS NOIDA, revolved around the theme of "Sustainable Social
Entrepreneurship: Shared Future." The event, held under the auspices of Y-20, aimed to emphasize
the importance of social entrepreneurship in India.
"Symudhyam" comprised two significant components: a thought-provoking panel discussion and a
dynamic Sustainable Business Pitch Competition. Additionally, as part of its social initiative, SCMS
NOIDA undertook the planting of 500 trees in Ambedkar Park, Ghaziabad.

SCMS, Noida, offers students an exclusive opportunity to study for an entire semester at our partner colleges, with
recognition shared between the institutions. Additionally, students can participate in summer schools at international
universities during the spring or summer. These programs enable students to interact with peers from diverse cultural
backgrounds and engage in practical teamwork, including enjoyable activities like cultural programs.

The International Cell, along with ISR Club at SCMS NOIDA, collaborated with Florida International University to help the
Bandhwari women curate products which will help make their lives better. The students of SCMS and FIU visited Bandhwari
village to help by contributing their services at the centre and school, where they taught the children and interacted with them.

International Cell at SCMS, NOIDA, organised a cultural evening to welcome students and dignitaries from FIU
along with the women from Bandhwari village to showcase the beauty of Indian culture via various performances
by the Performing Arts Club. The Officiating Director, Dr Nidhi Phutela, briefed them about the project ‘Sahyog’
in collaboration with Florida International University. Under this one-week project, they worked with the women
of Bandhwari and helped them grow their resources.

learning so that they may maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve their
or health-related performance, and become the people they want to be. We at Symbiosis Centre for
issues. Management Studies, NOIDA, practice a mentoring process that is regulated through our
in-house Mentoring Cell. The cell intends to help students deal with any academic,
emotional, or health-related challenges they might be facing. To assist students and deal
with such issues on a day-to-day basis, dedicated Mentor-Mentee programmes have been
designed for their overall well-being. The main aim of the Mentoring Cell is to ensure that
the performance of students is up to par through mutual support and a congenial learning
environment. It attempts to generate interest in academics and other institutional activities
among students. Students are assigned to their mentors (teaching faculty) if they need any
guidance or assistance. Mentors provide fair and honest feedback to encourage students to
improve their performance. The Mentoring Cell focuses on the overall holistic development
of students.
1. ICE-BREAKING SESSIONS
The first ice-breaking session of 2022 was conducted on September 23 in offline mode. The session
titled “CoBuild 2.0: Teamwork is the Key” was the second installment that focused on team-building
exercises. Students were shuffled into different groups for every activity. This helped them gain
experience in not only team building but also team participation and team leading. Games like Friendly
Feud, brain teasers, and guess the object were played. The first year brought their youthful exuberance
to the table, which made the event highly successful.
5. KINDNESS WEEK
The Mentoring Cell celebrated kindness week in the second week of February. The work for the week
was divided into 3 days. On the first day the members of the cell went around college and complimented
students. The main objective of this was to not only to spread kindness but also encourage others to do
the same. On the second day the members of the cell made a soft board on which other students can write
kind compliments for their friends. The third say being a Sunday, we could not hold any offline game or
activity so we made a bingo gmate that were played by various students online.
7. WORKSHOP ON CYBERBULLYING
A workshop on cyberbullying was conducted on April 11, 2023. This was the last workshop of
the year. Though the participation was not very high, the quality of the students was great. There
were many new things to learn about cyberbullying. It was a very informative workshop.
8. ALLOTMENT OF MENTORS
The Mentoring Cell's core function is to provide mentorship to students. Mentorship can take the
form of personal or academic matters. Students can reach out to their assigned mentors via mail
or visit them during college hours.
9. EMAILS
The Mentoring Cell sends inspirational and motivational quotes to students. It sends daily
motivational stories, poems, quotes, and messages to students’ email addresses, inspiring them
and helping them to come up with real-life problems. The emails were on topics like mental
health, motivational quotes, life lessons, etc.

State of art SCMS NOIDA is located amidst the IT and knowledge hub. It is just a stone’s throw away from
infrastructure the airport. The Institute has a sprawling campus at NOIDA having easy connectivity to all the
provided at our major cities. The Institute is Wi-Fi enabled with advanced/ sophisticated infrastructure. The
classrooms are spacious, air-conditioned and equipped with audio-visual aids. It is equipped with
campus seminar hall, conference hall, library and reading room, computer laboratory, auditorium,
cafeteria, fully equipped gymnasium and place for outdoor / indoor games. SCMS NOIDA is a
place where progressive management thoughts evolve and practices the pedagogy of experiential
learning.
We also provide you the book bank facility. Every year an extensive collection of textbooks is
added to the existing book bank of the library.
Computer Lab
SCMS NOIDA has two computer labs with total capacity of 140 systems. The labs are equipped
with internet connectivity, LCD projector, scanner cum printer and power backup support. Users
are expected to abide by the guidelines for acceptable use of technological resources for learning,
assessments, knowledge dissemination and official communication. You are advised to refrain
from using these resources for any purpose other than academics.
You are required to go through following points while using the IT resources:
Net connectivity in the computer lab for e-mailing, chatting, browsing or downloading for
personal use is prohibited.
Activities that violate the copyright and other IP contracts by unauthorized access and use
of resources must be avoided.
Use the resources in the lab in such way so that no damage is caused.
Refrain from moving, attaching, detaching the hardware equipment (printer, cable,
monitor, mouse, etc.) or carry any lab’s belongings outside of the lab.
Abstain from sending any material that is likely to be offensive or objectionable to
recipients.
Refrain from tampering any audio-visual equipment in the lab including the classroom /
convention hall

A multi-cuisine cafeteria, a Nescafe canteen, and a mess cater to the eating requirements of
students. The diversity of food available is good enough to satisfy the appetite of students coming
from diverse cultures. The Canteen serves healthy and hygienic food.
Hostel
SCMS NOIDA provides a hostel facility for female students. The hostel has been planned to
meet your requirements and make your stay comfortable to provide a home away from home.
Parking
The Campus has multi-level parking facility for students and staff, which is well maintained and
manned by security guards throughout the day. Vehicles without vehicle pass are not permitted
to enter the campus.

For your convenience, we facilitate a reprography centre. It also houses a stationery outlet where your
requirements are met.
Seminar Hall
The Seminar Hall equipped with all modern technical aids for guest lectures, screening of films,
presentations, and workshops etc.
Auditorium
The world class auditorium features high-definition screen with LED display, in-built audio
system, high-end speakers and special sound system, making it one of a kind facility, capable of
enhancing every performance. An opulent seating capacity of 480 people, the auditorium is used
for various activities and celebrations like Induction Day, Republic Day, Independence Day,
Farewell Functions and other Cultural Functions.
Examination helps you to understand the learning form the programme. Following points are to be
noted regarding examination system:
The examinations at SCMS NOIDA include both continuous assessments and term-end
evaluation.
Continuous internal evaluations are continuous in nature and conducted throughout the
term.
Term-end or External Examination is conducted at the end of every semester.
The grading will be based on the relative performance of the students in the class.
If you fail in continuous / term-end examination of a course, you shall appear in the next
examination season in the form of backlog.
Certificate of Merit for best academic performance in the programme is awarded every
year to the academic topper completing each degree programme and eligible for award
of degree at the convocation of that year.
You are expected to meet the attendance eligibility criteria for the term end examination
which are as follows:
o Minimum 75% attendance in aggregate is mandatory for all the students to be
eligible to appear for the external examination of all courses of the term.
o If your aggregate attendance is below 75% then you will be granted (TNG) and
thus will not be granted the permission to appear for the term- end examination.
Further, if your attendance is below 75% in a particular course then the you will
be awarded Course Not Granted (CNG) and thus will not be granted the
permission to appear for the examination of the respective course.

Identity Card
The University urges you to understand the spirit of donning an identity card as it has a number
of implications, like:
To simplify student and visitor identification & security
The pride of belonging to a premier institute.
We will issue an identity card and you are expected to carry it on the campus. In case, it is lost,
you should immediately report to the Admin Officer and get a new one issued.
Attendance
You are expected to attend all lectures/ sessions and academic activities for your
betterment. It is mandatory for every student to have at least 75% attendance in class,
virtually or in- person (as the case may be).
Attendance for Guest lectures, Workshops and Seminars is mandatory.
In case the prescribed minimum attendance is not fulfilled, you will not be eligible to
appear for the examination and shall automatically be categorized under TERM NOT
GRANTED (TNG) or COURSE NOT GRANTED (CNG). No requests for relaxation in
this criterion will be entertained.
You are expected to monitor your attendance on a daily/weekly basis on the Learning
Management System (LMS) portal. No separate communication will be sent on the
shortfall of attendance.
Dress Code
As per the guidelines of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, your dress should
befit the institute and reflect the stature and the class of Symbiosis. Institute uniform is to be
followed on all working days.
Till such time as the uniform is issued, students are expected to wear business formals. It is further
clarified that formals will include formal shoes. Sports shoes and slippers are not permitted.
For Girl Students, formals include the above. Indian formals are permitted. All must ensure that
they are decently dressed.
Students not adhering to above will not be allowed to attend classes and disciplinary action will be
taken against them.

Discipline
Any act of indiscipline/insubordination or misbehavior by any student, faculty member and
administrative staff will attract penalties / punishment, a few instances of indiscipline are listed
below (not exhaustive)
Loud/ impolite talk/ use of un-parliamentary language which offends the listener
Damaging the campus property due to negligence/lack of care
Instigating or abetting collective insubordination including mass bunking
Misbehavior with faculty, staff and fellow students
Inviting any person/ group to address the students of the college, without prior
writtenpermission of authorities
Consumption or possession of alcohol / drugs and being under their influence while on
campus or at functions
Having food or chewing gum in classrooms, computer labs, library and office area
Misrepresentation of facts for getting admission at the Institute
Theft, gambling, sexual harassment, physical fights / bouts with each other, smoking on
Symbiosis campus, indecent behavior in public places
Any other offence not included in this list will be dealt with on a case to case basis. Misconduct
of students in any form is not acceptable as per the student code of conduct and illustrative list

No association or society shall be formed by the students without the approval of the concerned
authority.

Communication to students
You will be communicated about the class schedule via official email/ LMS and
messages displayed on the notice board. It is important that you keep yourself well-
informed regarding any changes in timetable and other announcements. It is your
responsibility to be up-to-date with all the communication made from time to time.
Official email id should be used only for academic and official purposes. It should not be
used for any kind of social communication. Any malicious communication sent to or from
the official email id will be considered as misuse of the institute’s property and the
student’s college mail-id will be suspended with immediate effect.
Note
You are bound by all the rules and regulations of SIU.
All disputes pertaining to sale of prospectus, conduct of examinations and admission to
the Centre/institute are subject to the jurisdiction of Pune, Maharashtra only.
Anti-Ragging Committee
Ragging is totally prohibited in Symbiosis International University and in its Constituent Institutes.
Anyone found guilty of ragging and / or abetting ragging whether actively or passively, or being
a part of conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished in accordance with UGC
Regulations 2009 as well as under the provisions of any penal law for the time being in force.
