Subject: Report on In-House Recruitment Training cell
Dear Sir,
A three member committee was formed in accordance with the Board’s resolution passed at the
Board meeting held on April 21, 2012 to study the advantages of having an in-house recruitment and
training cell. The three members of the committee were:
1. Mr. XYZ, Senior HR Manager
2. Mr. DEF, HR Officer
3. Mr. IJK, Officer Manager
REPORT
Training is one of the most important parts of an organization's overall policy. The importance of
training is multi faceted:
a. Benefits of training are intangible and investing in training benefits both, organization and
employees for a long period.
b. Training enhances a worker’s level of skills. It provides sense of satisfaction, which is an
intrinsic motivator.
c. Training also provides an organization with multi skilled employees. Training increases an
employer commitment to their job and their organization.
d. Better understanding of jobs reduces accidents.
e. One of the most important benefits of training for an organization is that, it provides skills
inside the organization which reduces overall cost of an organization's operations.
f. Quality is one of the key features required for survival of an organization in long term. A
major portion of quality costs consists of supervision; by providing proper training this is
reduced.
g. Training increases productivity of employees and processes. Training is also a key
requirement for new recruits; proper training helps them to understand the job, its
requirements and responsibilities. Training also increases understanding of the
organizational culture.
Training and recruitment at present has been outsourced to ABC Consultancy by our
organization. Though ABC Consultancy is performing the job quite efficiently, the Committee
members have found that it would be more advantageous to have an in house recruitment and
training cell.
Recommendations
The advantages of having an in house recruitment and training cell are as follows:
a. External training is not cost effective.
b. In- house training can be scheduled to fit in with the organization time. Separate time for
training need not be decided.
c. Training can also be rescheduled without incurring any cancellation fees.
d. Training can be customized or tailored according to the requirements of the organization.
e. Content can be modified quickly to suit the current business needs.
f. Consistency is a key to good training. In house training helps with that as training can be
reinforced on the job with informal coaching.
g. The training and recruitment activities can be evaluated using questionnaires and changes
can be incorporated as and when necessary.
Sincerely,
Sd/-
