What is an accident?
Accident is an unintended, unforeseen, sudden occurrence resulting in the
interruption with normal work activity leading to an injury, which may be fatal or
may cause loss of material and time with out any return.

What are PPE? Explain.
PPE stands for Personal protective equipment.
PPE is defined as All the equipment (including clothing affording protection
against weather) which is intended to be worn or held by a person at work and
which protects him against one or more risks to his health or safety, resulting
from contact with chemical, radiological, physical, electrical, mechanical, or other
workplace hazards.
Name the hazard, body part affected and type of PPE used.

State basic rules to prevent injuries.
Use the right tool for the job
Examine each tool before use and do not use damaged tools
Operate tools according to the manufacturers' instructions
Keep all tools in good condition with regular maintenance and repair.

Be aware of what's going around you. For example, be careful not to talk
with someone while they are cutting with a machine.
Concentrate on what you are doing. If you get tired, leave.
Don't hurry. If you catch yourself rushing, slow down.

Don't rush speeds and feeds. You'll end up damaging your part, the tool and
may be the machine itself.
Listen to the machine. If there is an unfamiliar sound, turn the machine off.
Don't let someone else talk with you into doing some dangerous work
Don't attempt to measure a part that is moving
Wear safety glasses when told to do so, and always when working in an
area where light illumination is likely to be a problem
Always wear the appropriate eye/clothes protection when welding.
Adhere to the workshop clothing and be mindful of your hair.
What rules should be followed on shop clothing?
No loose clothing( tie, loose sleeve, etc. are prohibited)
Wear natural fiber clothes
Remove jewelry
Wear appropriate shoes (No open-toes sandals. Wear shoes that give a
sure footing. If you are working with heavy objects, steel shoes are
recommended)
