Sisters
“What are you doing?” asked my little sister.
“Making a paper dress for my doll!” I answered. Then I asked her to get out
of my way.
“Oh! Can I make one, too, for my doll?” she begged. I did not even look at
her. I began to cut paper to make a skirt and the top part of the dress. I then
glued some tiny beads and lace around the bottom of the skirt. Then I tied a
bow and put it on the front neck of the blouse. My sister’s eyes grew bigger as
she watched. I took my crayon box and colored the skirt green and the blouse
pink. My sister frowned and said, “I guess I don’t know how to make a pretty doll
dress like that.”
I looked at my sister’s sad face and said, “Here, I made this one for you.”
