Overview
The Sales Manager will be primarily responsible for sales activities of the hotel with the ultimate
objective of maximizing revenues across all revenue-generating outlets including bedrooms,
meetings and events, and food and beverage.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Organize and conduct site inspections and familiarization trips in conjunction with the Hotel
team.
Ensure in-house promotional material is current and effective and supports any new sales
and marketing promotions.
Makes outside sales calls by scheduling weekly site inspections or off-site appointments to
introduce hotel services to new accounts and to maintain and increase business to existing
accounts.
Actively participates and communicates with diverse community groups and organizations
as a representative of the hotel in order to develop positive relationships with the
community representatives and networking opportunities that will result in business leads
from these groups.
May coordinate sales-related activities with other departments to increase internal staff
awareness of the customers’ needs and to offer new and improved services to customers.
May assist in light set up and presentation at functions as needed.
Proactive selling and advising guests on current in-house events and promotions to drive
awareness and revenue at high-traffic areas such as, but not limited to, breakfast, check-in,
and poolside.
Maintain a database of prospective and current customers.
Take responsibility for the coordination and monitoring of all meetings, and events, from
initial booking where possible through to post-meeting/event evaluation and account
settlement.
Communicate any comments relevant to the specific “event(s)” to all Departments
concerned to improve addressed shortfalls, if any. within the operation.
Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with potential and prospective
travel agents and corporate companies to generate new and maximize existing business.
Present a summary of sales visits, events and inspections in the works, and confirmed
partnerships to the General Manager on a weekly basis. Effectively prepare, conduct and
follow up on all sales calls.
Coordinate all aspects of event planning, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring a
high standard of service and guest satisfaction.
Track and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., engagement rate, reach, click-through
rate) across all social media channels. Generate regular reports on social media
performance, identifying trends, insights and opportunities for improvement.
Submit weekly Sales & Marketing activity reports to the General Manager
