Workshop Activities:
The procedure sets were as follows:
Station 1 (Skill station): Demonstration of checking vital signs of a 45 years old male in a
hospital by using Digital thermometer, and Blood pressure machine. Conduct physical
examination.
Station II (Response station): History taking of patient with identification data. Doing mental
status examination of a 45 years old male by using interview and assessment. Perform lab tests.
Station III (Skill station): Provisional diagnosis of mental health disorder by examiner, Physician
was provided at the station for final diagnosis and treatment. Counselling an old male by using
mental health education. Discussion sessions.
Station IV (Response station): Identification of mental health disorders symptoms by using
diagrams, checklist on steps for identification of mental health disorder.

Situation: Mr. Umar, 45 years, male is visiting hospital with his wife. He says he has lost his
interest in work, feels like nothing matters since 15 days and would like to test for mental
disorder. Now you will perform history taking and mental status examination.
Observation: Observe if the participant is performing the following steps of history taking and
mental status examination by facing interview under observation test in their correct sequence
(as necessary).
Score "1" for each point conducted correctly tick “Yes” or mark "0" tick “No”, if the task is not
done or incorrectly done and calculate the Score.
