LITANY OF INDUCTION
THE MINISTER:
The word of God tells us that “ No one chooses for him self the honour of being a high
priest it is only by God’s call that a man is made a high priest just as Aaron was
(Heberew5:4). In the same way, no minister should accept a call to a particular church
unless he and the church are convinced that God is leading in this direction. It is assumed
that this service of induction is a public affirmation on the part of this church, Revd I.O.
Ibude& Revd E.O. Ibude that their coming together is the will of God for them. If this
assumption is true, will the members of Faith Baptist Church please rise and solemnly
affirm the following Pledges in the present of God and before these witnesses.
Do promise to receive Revd I.O. Ibude& Revd E.O. Ibude into your hearts and homes as
messengers of God?
Congregation: In the name of God and in the presence of these witnesses, we hereby
pledge to receive Revd I.O. Ibude &Revd E.O. Ibude into our hearts and homes. So help
us God.
Minister:
Do you promise to be open to listen to the message sent by God through them whether
palatable or unpalatable and seek God’s face to live by the
message?
CONGREGATION:
Yes, we will by the grace of God so help us God.
MINISTER:
Do you now before God promise to uphold Revd I.O. Ibude, Revd E.O. Ibude and their
family in prayer before God as often as you pray for your self and your families?
CONGRGATION:
We will, So help us God.
MINISTER:
As ministers called by God to serve this church do you now pledge to cooperate with
them to carry out the ministry for which God has brought them here?
CONGREGATION:
Yes, by the grace of God, we pledge to cooperate with them as long As they lead us in
the name of God. So help us God.
MINISTER:
Do you promise to provide the material comfort of the pastors as much as it lies within
your resource to do?
CONGREGATION:
Yes, So help us God.
MINISTER:
May God give you the grace ,the power and the compassion to fulfill these promises
which you have today made before him and these witnesses Amen.
REVD I.O. IBUDE AND REVD E.O. IBUDE’S PLEADGE
MINISTER:
Revd I.O. Ibude & Revd E.O. Ibude, I presume that you accept the call to minister here
because of your conviction that God has led his people here to extend the call to you, if
that is the case, will you now before God, this congregation and witnesses publicly
reaffirm that conviction?

Before God, Faith Baptist Church and these witnesses. We affirm our Ernest conviction
that God called us to serve here as long as he will and to this we pledge ourselves. So
help us God.
MINISTER:
Do you now pledge before God to see your self as God’s minister to every group in this
Church without discrimination as to age, sex, colour, language and social status?
REVD I.O. IBUDE & REVD E.O. IBUDE
Before God and man, we pledge to see and serve every member of this church as man
and woman, boy and girl created in the image of God and for whom Christ died and rose
again to live for ever. So help us God.
MINISTER:
Do you now commit your self to a life of prayer to every member of this church? Dou
you promise to commit your self to prayerful study of God’s word as you seek to feed the
congregation spiritually from time to time?

Before God and in the presence of his people we pledge to pray for every member of this
church. We promise to be engaged in prayerful study of the word of God as we seek to
feed the congregation. With any message until we have honesty sand earnestly sought
God’s will in prayer and preparation, so help us God.
MINISTER:
Realizing every Christian congregation his made up of people in various stage of spiritual
maturity and sensitivity, do you pledge to seek divine wisdom and spiritual discernment
and to be patient in the dealing with issues that may arise the course if your ministry
here?

Yes, we promise under God to be all things to all people in order to be able to
sympathize with each individual as we seek to minister here in the name of God. So help
us god.
MINISTER:
In carrying out your duties here do you promise to be a worthy Christian example in
temperament and in speech at all time as much as lies within your power under enabling
grace of God.

Yes this is our Ernest desire. May God help us Amen.
MINISTER:
MAY God who called you set you apart for the gospel ministry give you the grace to live
in his presence as you serve his people here and throughout your live Amen
.
FORMAL INDUCTION
In as much as both Faith Baptist Church, Revd I.O. Ibude & Revd E.O. Ibude have
reaffirm their conviction of the leadership of God in their coming together and in as much
as they have pledge before God and these witness to work together to the glory of God
and salvation of men and women, I here by formally induct Revd I.O. Ibude as Music&
worship Pastor and Revd E.O. Ibude as children/teen Pastor in the name of the Father,
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
