CONTENT STANDARDS: The learner demonstrates an understanding of: Core concepts and
underlying theories in cookery lessons

PERFORMANCE STANDARD: The learners independently use and maintain tools, equipment, and
materials in cookery according to standard operating procedures
Learning Objectives:
Most Essential Learning Competency: LO 2. Explain Basic Concepts in Cleaning and Sanitizing
Kitchen Premises

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

 recognize the kitchen areas that need to be cleaned and sanitized.


 prepare own checklist of kitchen areas at home that need to be
cleaned and sanitized.
 realize the importance of cleaning and sanitizing kitchen premises at
home

Time Allotment: 1 hour
