now move on to our next lesson.
B. LESSON PROPER
1. Motivation
Before we proceed to our topic for today, let’s have an
activity. This activity is entitled “guess the gibberish
words”. You only need to decode the hidden word and
the first one who can give us the correct answer will
receive a reward.
Am I understood? Therefore, let’s start our activity.
1. Too poet first pick have
2. Bunny shine poet 1. Two-point perspective
3. Hour I song lane 2. Vanishing point
3. Horizon line
Did you enjoy the activity class?
Yes Sir! We enjoyed it.
Okay, good. After having our activity for this morning,
what have you notice in our activity? Anyone who can Sir, I observed that the words is referring to a
share their observation or insights. perspective drawing
Okay, very good!
2. PRESENTATION OF THE TOPIC.
The words that you have guessed is related on our lesson
for today which is all about “TWO-POINT
PERSPECTIVE”
3. PRESENTATION OF THE OBJECTIVES:
But before we proceed to our topic for today, let us read
the objectives.
Everybody kindly read.
(the students will read)
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Define what is a two-point perspective drawing At the end of the lesson, the students should be able
2. Recognize the importance of perspective drawing to:
in creating a plan 1. Define what is a two-point perspective
3. Create a two-point perspective drawing drawing
2. Recognize the importance of perspective
drawing in creating a plan
3. Create a two-point perspective drawing
Okay, thank you
4. DISCUSSION
Let us proceed to our discussion.
Our topic for today is all about a type of perspective
drawing which is the two-point perspective, can anyone Sir, based on my perception, perspective is a view
share their insights when they hear the word perspective? that comes through our naked eye. Every line that we
see has a limit and it somehow depicts a objects like
trees to look smaller as it goes farther.
Very good. So you have an idea what does perspective
means. To give you a brief and concise definition of what
does a two-point perspective really means, kindly read
the presentation above.
Two-point perspective drawing is a type of linear
perspective that consists of 2 vanishing point.
Linear perspective is a method using lines to create the
illusion of space on a 2D surface. There are three types of
linear perspective and this are the following:
One-point perspective
Two-point perspective
Three-point perspective
That is the brief definition of the two-point perspective
Yes sir!
and even the types of linear perspective. Is that clear
class?
Is that clear class?
COMPONENTS:
Now, lets move onto some important definitions in
Horizon line(hl) – where the sky meets the
creating a perspective drawing. Kindly read the slide
ground, a horizontal line
everyone
Vanishing point(vp) -the place where all the
lines meet or vanish, it is located on the
horizon line
Horizontal line- line that goes left to right
Vertical line -a line that goes up and down
Ground line (gl) – refers to the ground level
These are the important thing in creating a perspective
and all of you should be familiarize onto these terms. Is it
clear class? Are there any clarification with regards to
this terms? If none, let’s move on the three different
views in a perspective.
Kindly read the slide, class.
Three different types of view:
Bird’s eye view: looking down
-on this case, the horizon line is above all the
objects to project the top view of a certain
object
Man’s eye view: looking straight
-the object is located on the same level with
the horizon line
Worm’s eye view: looking up
-objects is drawn above the horizon line
These are the different views in creating a perspective
drawing, what do you think is the relevance of Sir, based on my opinion, we should consider first
considering these views in creating your perspective the view on how do we want to project a certain
drawing? anyone who can share their opinion or insights? object depending on the height of it. Like for an
example, drawing a tall building, the best way to
project it is in worm’s eye view in order to get the
depth and express how tall is it.
Very good. So you have an idea. Just to sum it up, we
need to choose the right view in order to depict Yes sir!
effectively the depth of an object and also to project it in
a pleasing view especially when it comes to a building or
house. Is it clear class?
After knowing the fundamentals, we’ll move on to the
steps in creating a two-point perspective by using all of
the things we have discussed. I’ll be demonstrating to
you on how to draw a simple box in a two-point
perspective drawing. Then, let’s proceed. Kindly read the
slide everyone.
STEP 1
Define the horizon line
STEP 2
Define the vanishing point as a point that is placed on
the horizon line
STEP 3
Draw lines from each end of the corner to each
vanishing points
STEP 4
Draw parallel, vertical lines to indicate where the
objects ends
STEP 5
Finalizing all the outline and erase the line you no
longer need to reveal the 3D form
This is how you create a two-point perspective. The view
or level of an object depends upon the placement of the
lines whether it is at the same level of horizon line or is it
at the bottom or above the horizon line. Are there any None sir
clarification with regards the process in creating a two-
point perspective?
Is that clear? Yes sir
Again, what is a two-point perspective drawing? Sir, a two-point perspective drawing is a linear
drawing that consists of two vanishing points that lies
on the horizon line and there are three different type
of view, the first one is the bird’s eye view, then the
man’s eye view and lastly, the worm’s eye view.
What are the steps of creating a two-point perspective Sir, the steps in making a two-point perspective is
drawing? first, you need to define the horizon line and
vanishing points then after that you need to draw the
corner of an object then draw the lines from each end
of the corner to each vanishing points then after that
you need to draw parallel and vertical lines in order
to indicate where the object ends. Lastly, you need to
finalize all your drawing.
Very good!
Do you have any question or clarification, class? None sir
5. GENERALIZATION:
Since you don’t have questions, kindly complete the
sentence.
Sir, I have learned that creating a perspective
“I have learned that________” drawing depends upon the number of vanishing
points in the drawing process and even the placement
of drawing or objects where we can portray in a
specific eye level or view
Very good!
What do you think is importance of studying two-point Sir, for me, knowing how to create a two-point
perspective in creating a plan? perspective drawing will be have a great impact in
creating a plan in a way that you can portray and
display the features of a certain building or house
plan and even the non-artist or a normal people can
imagine a house even though it’s still a drawing. It
can be helpful in presenting a plan that will make a
viewer to get an image and even visualize a certain
drawing.
Very good!
It seems that you really understood our topic.
6. APPLICATION:
Do you want to have another activity class?
Yes sir.
Now, let’s proceed into our group activity, I will group
you into 3 groups and each group will need a 1
representative to draw what they will going to do. After
drawing a specific task you need to get ¼ sheet of paper
and write your group members.
This is what you are going to do; If you really understood
the topic, each group will make a two-point perspective
drawing based on view that they have drawn and I’ll be
presenting on what object will you create. After
completing the activity within 10 minutes, each group
will have a one representative to present their work. The
group that will get the highest grade after the presentation
will receive an additional point.
Is that clear class? Yes sir
This is how you will be graded.
I will give you 10 minutes to make the perspective
drawing and 2 minutes to present. Only 1 member in
each group will present their work in front of the class.
Is it clear class?
Yes sir.
You may start now.
10 minutes done, group 1 come here in front and present
your work.
Class, give them around of applause. Group 2, you may
now present your work.
Okay class, give them around of applause. Group 3, you
may now present your work.
The group that got the highest grade is Group_____.
Since the group__ got the highest score, they will receive
an additional point to be added on their score on the short
quiz we will be having.
Do you have questions or clarifications about the topic?
None sir
7. EVALUATION:
Since you don’t have questions, we will have a quiz.
Kindly close all your note. The questions will be flashed
on the screen and you may now get a ¼ sheet of paper.
Now class, you may now start answering..
Direction: identify the following and write your answers
in uppercase letter
1. It is a line that serves an indicator that the sky
meets the ground based on our naked eye
2. It is a point that is located at the horizon line and
it is the place wherein all the lines meet
3. How many vanishing point does a two-point
perspective have?
4. How many vanishing point does a one-point
perspective have?
5. How many vanishing point does a three-point
perspective have?
Are you done class?
OK let us check your paper. Exchange papers.
Answer key.
1. Horizon line
2. Vanishing point
3. 2 vp
4. 1 vp
5. 3 vp
Who got 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and 0?
(students will raise their hands)
OK pass your papers forward.
8. ASSIGNMENT:
For your assignment, draw a two-point perspective
staircase having 13 steps. Draw and label properly the
horizon line and vanishing point and put it in a short
bond paper.
