Functional Issues Comparison :

1. No Inbuilt CRM - need to buy Microsoft Dynamics CRM - which is very expensive
2. No Inbuilt Analytics
3. Limited Reporting Dimensions: Business Central has a limited number of reporting dimensions
that result in not being able to report in the level of detail as NetSuite.
4. One Platform: NetSuite a true modern multi-tenant architecture on one line of code to support
ERP, CRM, PSA, HR ect. With D365, customer are required to deploy the common data service (aka
integration layer) to support the use of ERP and CRM together.
5. NetSuite is core software! Dynamics 365 Business Central is not the sole focus of Microsoft – it a
small portion of annual revenue .Therefore, support, maintenance and upgrades are all at their
partner convenience.
6. Speed- It is well known fact that Dynamics is low compared to NetSuite
7. PSA features - Dynamics provides Project Management module whereas Oracle NetSuite offers
module such as Project Management, Resource Management, Timesheet Management, Expense
Management.
8. E-commerce - if you wish to move into E-commerce - Dynamics doesn’t offer anything but Oracle
NetSuite has modules such as E-commerce, Commerce Marketing automation etc
9. HRMS - Dynamics does not have HRMS but Oracle NetSuite has HRMS already. NetSuite HRMS
Singapore localised version is in the pipeline.
10. Customer and Vendor Portal – Oracle NetSuite provides Customer and Vendor portal

Support :

1. Support comes from Oracle Netsuite directly where as in Dynamics you are depends upon partner.
2. Dynamics has limited online knowledge base whereas Net Suite has Suite Answers platform available
to all users

Summary :

3. NetSuite is a true Cloud-based business solution. MS Dynamics 365 Business Central was not built
for the Cloud. It is rearchitected Dynamics NAV hosted on Azure. It was not written on a unified
data model with one line of code making upgrades, customisations and getting a unified view of
your business difficult.
4. NetSuite is a full robust suite which includes ERP, CRM, HR, and relevant key at its core including
rev rec, commissions and subscription billing.
5. Dynamics 365 Business Central has many gaps compared to our suite specifically around CRM, Rev
Rec, Commissions, POS. Like its legacy NAV days, Business Central requires many additional add-on
solutions where NetSuite excel.
6. NetSuite is better for robust and dynamic reporting. Business Central’s reporting tools leave very
little room for formatting, customisations or flexibility, even within the Excel templates. Many choose
to use Excel (doesn’t automate process) or PowerBI as there is no easy way to change report
formats without a developer. .
7. NetSuite supports the lifetime of a customer through SuiteSuccess and the AMO. Microsoft only
provides support through online community and the rest of the support is done via a partner.
