4. Additional equipment
4.1 1 ꢀ VPN access to a Rovema machine
PackꢀControl
VPN Gateway (brand Juniper, Type SSG5) to make an
internet connection between a ROVEMA machine and the
Rovema inꢀhouse network in Fernwald via a firewall free
internet connection (e. g. Guest Network, UMTSꢀRouter,
or similar). Please note: Advice for the subject
"internetrouter" resp. internet access. By the use of
firewalls, with rules which are not appropriate to the
situation, it might be that the VPNꢀconnection is
impossible initially. In this case it is important to consult
an IT expert, which causes additional costs. These costs
are not integrated in our delivery scope.

If the products/packaging materials provided to us for sampling differ from the actual
products to be processed, all cost which occur during subsequent improvements, that are
necessary to achieve the desired output, are at the expense of the customer.

Excluded from our services are:
All modifications on customer's site such as works at the baseplate, conveyors or ceilings,
calibration of weighing equipment and all costs in connection to this, test material for
machine testing, installation and training, as well as all components which are not expressly
listed in our order confirmation.
Warranty
The warranty starts with the acceptance of the equipment delivered, resp. with the start of
the commercial production. The warranty period lasts 12 months in 1 shift operation, max.
1800 hours, however, not longer than 15 months after delivery or storage in case of
unacceptance of the machine.
Disclaimer
Any liability not expressly provided for in this agreement shall be disclaimed provided,
however, that liability for culpable damage to life, body or health as well as liability on the
applicable product liability act shall remain unaffected.
Installation, commissioning and startꢀup of the machine
We will delegate one of our experienced fitters against invoice according to time certificates.
To assure troubleꢀfree installation and putting into operation, we point out that the date
schedule must be indicated by you to our service department with the order or at least
4 weeks before beginning of installation.

General conditions for the electric and technical safe equipment
of ROVEMA Packaging Machines as well as operationꢀ
transport and storageꢁ
Guarantees regarding the bag production refer to the check and
assessment regulations of the association "Verpackung und Verpackungsfolien" in GVK
where applicable.
The detail reg. performance adn technical machine efficiency
are valid according to DIN 8743
"Terms of Packaging Machines and Packaging Lines" section 4.2,
issued in ꢀune 2004. This DINꢁstandard defines these terms and
describes their prove at machine reception. The above mentioned values are depending on
the following factors.
1. Product properties and behaviour
2. Constant product infeed and bulk density
3. Packaging material and properties
4. Proper operation and maintenance of the packaging plant
5. Physical environment conditions
6. The aggregates that are preceding, interconnected or
downstream.
The change of packing materials, packaging accessories (e.g. products to be packed and
format changeꢂ and/or the subsequent modification of characteristics of goods to be packed,
packing materials, packaging accessories and closing/sealing
accessories can make fine adjustments necessary and influence
the set performance of the machine/line.
Transport and storage:
During transport and storage the electric equipment endures
temperatures between ꢁ25°C and + 55°C, as well as, for a short
period of time of no longer than 24 hours, temperatures up to +ꢃ0°C.
Operating conditions:
1.ꢂ Surrounding temperature:
The electric equipment can be operated at a surrounding
temperature between +5 and +35°C, average temperature
not exceeding +30°C for a period of 24 hours.
2.ꢂ Atmospheric conditions:
The electric equipment works troublefree at a relative
humidity of max. 50 % at 40°C and max. 90 % at 20°C.
3.ꢂ Electrical operating conditions:
The electric equipment works satisfactorily under full load
and without load in a voltage range between 90 and 110 % of
the nominal voltage and at a frequency deviation of up to +/ꢁ 2%.
The nominal performance of motors is defined at 95 to 105 %
of their nominal voltage.

We install noise filters in the machines to comply with the
EMV noise regulations. These are generating a leakage current, which can cause the
release of the leakage current device. Therefore the packaging unit as included in the offer or
order scope is not prepared to work with a residual current operated device (RCDꢁswitchꢂ.
When using an RCDꢁswitch supplied by the customer measures might need to be taken.
4.ꢂ Operating equipment
The necessary compressed air to operate the scope of supply
has to be oilfree, dry and clean. The air pressure must constantly
be at 6 bar. Pressure variations are not allowed.
Machine equipment
The machine equipment corresponds with the ROVEMA standard as well as the European
directives and rules.
Possible special equipments (customer specificationsꢂ have to be checked and are not
included in the order scale if not separately mentioned in the order confirmation.
The marking of single strands is done, acc. IEC 60204.1/EN60204.1 by colours (black,
brown, red, orange, blau, lightꢁblue and green/yellowꢂ. Only wires that are connected to the
main terminal block will get an additional marking by numbers.
Any deviation of this are only possible if an appropriate method
had been defined in written at conclusion of contract and if this is part of the contract/order.
According to the valid guideline for protection against explosion (RL 94/9/EG, Atex 95ꢂ we
are obliged to draw your attention to the fact that machines which are working in an
explosion endangered area or which shall be used for the packaging of explosion
endangered goods must have additional protection fittings and security precautions. These
are not included in our standard delivery scale. If you wish to use the actual machine in an
explosion endangered area or to package explosion endangered goods we would like to ask
you for a written information, indicating the technical relevant data. A modification of the
technical specification has then to be made.
Platforms:
Any platforms that are necessary for the operation of the scope of supply are provided by the
customer, unless not part of this order confirmation.
Equipment provided by the customer:
Mounting, installation and testing of equipment provided by
customers (e.g. dosing units, coding systems, feeding units etc.ꢂ
is not included and will be charged separately upon expense, if
this is not clearly mentioned in the order confirmation.
Any putting into operation service of customer aggregates are liable
to costs.
