Summary: Osiris married isis(sister), was king.

Set(brother) was jealous, cut osiris into 14

pieces and spread over egypt. Set became king, nephthys(sister) his wife. Nepthys and isis
collected osirises body and put him back together. Isis was *magic*, and resurrected her
husband and then became pregnant, while Osiris became lord of the underworld. The child of
Isis and Osiris was named horus (represented by hawk) he claimed he was meant to be king,
not Set. Set challenged him to a contest. Set was a cheater and Isis wanted to help her son, but
was useless, and let him go, Horus became mad at her. Set got to choose the last challenge, a
boat race, but the boats were made of stone. Horus cheated and made his of wood but covered
it in limestone. Set cut off a mountain, but his boat sank and he was laughed at. He turned into a
hippo and attacked horus. The gods stopped horus from killing set and called it a tie. The gods
were sympathetic but did not completely support Horus. The gods wrote a letter to osiris, and he
said his son should be king, obviously. He also hadnt killed anyone, so he was made king.

Title: The Myth of Osiris

Pg 1:
From the gods Geb and Nut there were four children, Osiris, Set, Isis, and Nepthys.
Osiris married his sister Isis and became king of Egypt. He was a good king, however,
his brother, Set was always jealous.

Pg 2:
Set tricked Osiris and killed him, cutting up his body into many pieces to be spread
across Egypt. Set became king and took Nepthys as his wife.

Pg 3:
Isis mourned over her husband's death, and went out in search of his body,
accompanied by Nepthys who sympathized for her sister. Isis eventually recovered all of
Osiris’ body to reassemble him.

Pg 4:
Isis had magical powers and breathed life back into Osiris’ body. After bringing Osiris
back to life, Isis became pregnant, and Osiris became lord of the underworld.

Pg 5:
The son of Isis and Osiris was named Horus. Once Horus grew up he went to the court
of the gods to claim that he was meant to be king, not Set. Set challenged Horus to a
contest, and the winner would become king of Egypt.

Pg 6:
Set however, was cheating, and Isis felt sorry for her son and wanted to help him. Isis
caught Set, but he pleaded for his life, and Isis let him go. Horus became angry at his
mother, which angered the other gods.
Pg 7:
Set got to choose the last challenge, and he chose a boat race, but the boats must be
made of stone. Horus made his boat of wood, and covered it with limestone to make it
look like stone. Set cut off the top of a mountain, but when he put it into the water, it sank
immediately.

Pg 8:
Set was laughed at by the gods. Enraged, he turned himself into a hippopotamus and
attacked Horus. Hurus fought Set off, but the gods prevented Horus from killing Set. The
gods sympathized with Horus but remembered his anger toward Isis.

Pg 9:
The challenge was called a tie, and the gods did not know what to do. The gods decided
to write a letter to Osiris in the underworld, and ask for his advice.

Pg 10:
Osiris responded saying that his son is the rightful king of Egypt. Set should never have
been king because he killed his own brother for the crown. Horus had not killed anyone,
and was the best choice. The gods finally agreed, and Horus became king of Egypt.
