Essay: Answer briefly the following questions below.

1. What are the differences between oil and acrylic paints?


There is a difference in the drying period of acrylic and oil paints; oil paints require a lot longer to cure than
acrylic paints, which permits greater layering and mixing. While the hues of acrylic paints might dry slightly
different from their wet state, oil paints often have richer, more brilliant colors. Different methods must be used
for cleanup acrylics can be washed with water, but oil paintings need solvents to clean brushes and palettes.

2. What do you think are the benefits of paintings in our lives?


Paintings provide an outlet for viewers to express their emotions and take part in introspection by connecting
them with the artist’s vision and reflecting a variety of emotions. Our surroundings are enhanced and our daily
creativity is sparked by them as they act as reminders of beauty, inspiration, and cultural value. In to promoting
empathy and respect for many cultures and experiences, paintings facilitate communication and understanding
among people.

3. What are the secondary colors? How are they formed?


Primary colors, such as orange from red and yellow, green from yellow and blue, and purple from blue and red,
can be combined to generate secondary colors. Secondary colors are created by combining basic colors, which
expands the range of colors available for creative expression. By utilizing the harmonic relationships between
both main and secondary hues, artists may learn the concept of color and create visually dynamic compositions
through an understanding of secondary colors.

4. What is the real goal of perspective in art? Explain.


The main purpose of perspective in art is to imitate how humans see space in the actual world by giving the
appearance of depth and space on a two-dimensional surface. Artists can communicate depth and realism in their
compositions by employing strategies such as vanishing points, foreshortening, and overlapping objects. At the
end of the day, perspective allows artists to draw spectators into their works and encourage interaction with
realistic.

5. Why line is considered the most important element in painting? Support your
answer.
In painting, lines act as the basic building blocks of visual communication, directing the viewer’s attention and
defining compositions, forms, and shapes. They help artists to in detail communicate their intentions and
storylines by evoking movement, rhythm, and emotion. Artists are able to arouse a multitude of emotions and
produce dynamic visual experiences that attract and involve viewers through the manipulation of lines.
