A Blog
I'm sitting with my friend on my sofa in the living room and we're watching a fantasy film. It's the
first Harry Potter film. I don't know why, but I really want Voldemort to win, not the good guys.
Am I a bad person?

I'm at my friend's house and I'm watching the action and adventure film Transformers. Once
again, I prefer Megatron to the good guy. I guess I like baddies. Is something wrong with me?

Sometimes, we like the bad guys in films. There isn't anything wrong with that. The bad guys
make us have positive feelings about ourselves. Their life, like ours, isn't perfect. Like baddies, we
all make some bad decisions in our lives. Sometimes, we don’t like the villains’ actions, but we
like their personalities and appearance. They are often fascinating, and it’s fun to watch them do
things we never do in real life.
So, we can continue to love baddies but feel good about ourselves. The good guys nearly always
win at the end.
