ASSET REVALUATION
Manual Cost Adjustment through Book window
Navigation: Fixed Asset Manager→ Assets → Asset Workbench
Query Asset
Then Click on Find
Select Books button
Then enter asset book name and press Tab key
Select current cost, Here you can change asset financial information as per your requirements.
Revaluation in Oracle Fixed Assets
Revaluation of fixed assets is the process of increasing or decreasing their carrying value in case of
major changes in fair market value of the fixed asset.
Nav - Mass Transactions - Revaluations
Enter
Book
Comment
Asset Number ( specific asset for revaluation to be planned )
Category
( If You want to revalue all the assets under all asset categories then just add the categories one by
one in Category Column or If you want to revalue all the assets in a specific asset category just
enter that particular category )
Rate %
Enter the value to which you wish to increase the asset value. In case if you want to decrease the
asset value include ‘ - ‘ MINUS sign before the number. Ex. : -15%.
Then Save and Click on Preview
Once saved Mass Transaction Number is generated. Remember the number.
A Request gets triggered in the background
Program - Mass Revaluation Preview Report and Mass Revaluation Program run automatically
Wait until Completed, Normal.
Then View Output of Mass Revaluation Preview Report.
Then go back to Mass Transaction Page
Press F11
Enter Mass Transaction Number
Then Press CTRL+F11
Then Click on Run
Click Ok
The Request gets Triggered in the back ground. Click OK
Goto View - Request, wait until the program completed, normal.
Nav - Assets - Asset Workbench
Query the Asset
Click on Find
Click on Financial Inquiry or Books you can see the updated price of an asset.
Nav - View - Request
Click on “Submit a New Request”
Program - Create Accounting - Assets
Wait until the program Completed Normal.
Nav - Inquiry - Transaction History
Enter Book Name and Asset Number. Them click on Find
Keep the CURSER at REVALUATION and Go to Tools - View Accounting.
Go to the Browser
To see the journal entry in General Ledger
Nav - General Ledger Superuser Responsibility - Journal Entry
Enter the details and click on Find
Search for the ledger and click on Review Journal
As we selected Posting in the Ledger - No. while running the Create Accounting - Assets program.
This the reason journal is not posted.
NOTE: Don’t RUN the create accounting program for every transaction. As we are running it for
every month end.
