BARANGAY PURO ASSEMBLY DAY
Minutes of the 1st Barangay Assembly of Barangay Puro, Aroroy, Masbate held at the Puro
Sports Complex on March 17, 2024 at 1:00 in the afternoon
Attendance:
The assembly start with opening prayer through Hon. Myrna V. Laurio, followed, then the
singing of the Philippine National Anthem conducted by Mrs. Marychris Laurio.
Hon. Albert L. Pajes message for opening remarks and he acknowledged the Sangguniang
members were present and members of the Barangay Assembly coming from various puroks
were also acknowledge
After which, the Barangay Secretary read the message of the Secretary of Interior and Local
Government Eduardo M. Año to the barangay assembly.
The Barangay Assembly proper
Hon. Albert L. Pajes, Comm. On Appro. & Infra delivered the physical status of the barangay and
Miss Angelica Alangilan delivered the financial status of Barangay Annual Budget for this year
2024. Then Hon. Jeffrey P. Labini delivered the Physical and Financial status of the SDMP (Social
Development Mining Project) of the Barangay Puro.
The Sangguniang Kabataan Officials also delivered their financial status for this 2024, and their
vision for the youth by the SK Secretary Mr. Sanny Cedillo.
The Barangay Issues and Concerns
Hon. Epifania G. Cordova, elucidate that the Barangay Council headed by PB. Hon. Eric E.
Castillo, gave the free medicine and vitamins to the constituents of barangay puro, especially for
the senior citizen, pregnant women, and diabetic individual, and Mrs. Amor D. Maglente also
elucidate and encourage the parents to guide and discourage their children for the early
pregnancy.
Hon. Myrna V. Laurio delivered the no. of Scholars, She stated that there are 250 grants for
college and 150 for High School with free transportation daily of the student in Rufo Pajes
Elementary School, Puro Elementary and Puro National High school and also free transportation
to Cabitan from Barangay Puro for the College student studying in DEBESMSCAT through the
efforts of the PB. ERIC E. CASTILLO.
Hon. Vicente B. Bohol delivered that The Drug Abuse and Users of the barangay decreased from
68 and now 24, He stated that Barangay tanod force are active roving in night and day within
the jurisdiction this barangay to diminish the crime.
The compliance to national laws and issues delivered by PB. Hon. EEC to implement the DILG
Implementing projects like BARKADA and HAPAG, He also elucidate the implementation of the
barangay road clearing and obstruction inside the barangay.
PB. Hon. EEC delivered his SOBA. He adressing the importance of this Barangay Assembly, He
also thanked everyone present for spending their time in listening to the various issues held and
tackled in the barangay assembly.
He boasted that the PATUBIG AND PAILAW Project is already started and that continuing
implementation and construction is going on to finish the project, He also informed the
constituents to become a MARITES in the Barangay Puro, meaning the transparency policy
inside the barangay. He also delivered that their will be a relocation project in the 2 various
sitios, Sitio Soba and Sito Obra, this sitio suffered from the noised operation when the Mining
Company blasted and some of them, they get ill due of the ash coming from the milling
company. There are so many educational and inspiration messages delivered of the PB. Hon EEC
but surprise…………actions speaks louder than words.
The Barangay Assembly adjourn at 4:25 in the afetrnoon.
