Requirements
DEPARTMENT
Distribution Services - [Link] with registration as Professional Technologist (Pr Tech).
- At least eight (8) years’ appropriate experience, involving
sound working knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and
procedures, at managerial level
- Good knowledge and use of the General Conditions of Contract
SALARY (GCC) for construction works
- Good verbal and written communication skills
R1 227 099 p.a. (T16) TCOE - Ability to lead and think independently; provide strategic
direction; and effectively and efficiently organise, analyse,
set goals, administer, guide, integrate and implement systems,
REFERENCE NUMBER plans, standards and procedures
- Proficiency and competency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS
WS 96/24 PowerPoint and SharePoint
- A valid driver’s licence with own reliable transport and the
ability to travel extensively to city sites

ELIGIBILITY - Manages and mentors a team of professionals
- Compilation, prioritizing and scheduling of projects and

infrastructure in a District
- Implements Maintenance and Rehabilitation intervention
/ remedial measures
- Implements Capital Budget projects for the provision of
new and / or upgraded infrastructure for Water & Sanitation
- Managing, co-ordinating and facilitating all land use
development applications ensuring integration of development
policies, Water and Sanitation design standards, development
control and facilitation
- Supplying operational Depots with all the technical support
and guidance re Reservoirs, Pump Stations, Reticulation
networks and infrastructure maintenance
- Financial management of Operations and Capital Projects in
compliance with MFA and
- Corporate Directives
- Managing & maintaining effective communication, awareness
and sharing of information for the benefit of Water Services.
