2) What do we use our hands, feet, eyes, and other body parts for?

D. Learning Activities
Preliminary Activities

Orientation Activities

1. The teacher and students begin the class by praying together.

2. The teacher greets the students warmly and checks attendance.

Aperception Activities (3 Minutes)

1. Start the lesson with engaging activities such as:

a. Ask students to bring a toy or an object from home related to body parts
(e.g., a doll or a picture showing body parts) and have them share it with the
class.
b. The teacher asks essential questions about the functions of different body
parts, like "What do we use our hands for?" or "Why do we need our eyes?"
c. Encourage students to discuss how body parts are similar to other things in
their environment, like comparing their arms to the branches of a tree.

2. Explain the learning objectives for this topic, elaborating on what students will
explore about body parts and how it relates to their daily lives.

Motivation

1. Provide examples of how understanding body parts can help them in daily
activities, like staying healthy and active.
2. Clearly communicate the learning goals to excite students about what they will
learn.

Core Activities (5 Minutes)

Teaching Topic A: Body Parts (6 Minutes)

1. Begin with a literacy activity using a short, simple introduction about body parts
from the Student’s Book.
2. Ask students to observe their own body parts and name them, such as pointing to
their head, hands, or feet.
3. Guide students into group discussions where they:

a. Group similar body parts based on their functions, like hands and feet for
movement or eyes and ears for senses.
b. Discuss the uses of each body part in their daily lives, focusing on fun
examples like eating with hands or running with legs.

4. Use visual aids, like flashcards or posters, to reinforce the concepts and help
students identify body parts visually.
5. Distribute Worksheet 1.1 to allow students to match body parts with their
functions.
6. Discuss the importance of each body part, starting with its function for the
human body and then extending to how it helps others (e.g., "Our hands help us
hug our friends").
7. Use infographics or diagrams from the Student’s Book to visually explain body
parts and their functions.

Optional Activities

1. Show real-life examples of body parts through illustrations or toys.

2. Allow students to observe and compare similarities and differences in their own
body parts, such as hand sizes.
3. Highlight how each body part is unique yet serves a common purpose, similar to
discussing diversity in previous lessons.

Creative Activity

1. Encourage students to draw and label body parts based on the instructions in the
Student’s Book.
2. Each section of the drawing explains one body part and its function with simple
illustrations and descriptions.

Closing Activities (2 Minutes)

1. Students summarize what they learned about body parts in their own words.
2. Students share any difficulties they experienced during the lesson.
3. The teacher assigns a follow-up task from the student worksheet (LKPD).
4. End the lesson by praying together.

Family Activities

Let’s involve families to create a supportive learning environment at home. Parents can
help by:

 Encouraging children to observe and discuss body parts during everyday

activities, like identifying parts of their face in a mirror.
 Playing simple games like "Simon Says" to reinforce learning about body parts
and their functions.
 Doing fun activities like drawing body parts together or singing songs about
body parts, such as "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes."
 If possible, parents can take their children to a park or playground and talk about
how their body helps them run, jump, and play.
 Discussing the importance of keeping body parts healthy by eating well and
exercising regularly.

These activities will help reinforce the concepts learned in class while creating
meaningful connections at home
E. REFLECTION
Topic A: Body Parts
(To guide students, refer to the reflection section in the Teacher’s General Guide.)

1. What are the parts of the human body?

Head, arms, hands, legs, feet, and torso (remind students that not all body
parts are visible, such as internal organs).
2. Which part of the body helps us stay strong or protect ourselves?
Arms and legs (some students might also mention skin as protection or
muscles for strength).
3. Which part of the body helps us grow?
Stomach and digestive system (students may also answer the brain or other
organs involved in growth and health).
4. Which part of the body helps us create or express emotions?
Mouth and hands (students might also mention the brain or heart as
sources of emotions).

Encourage students to provide reasons for their answers to questions 2–4 so the teacher
can assess their understanding.

Observation
 Evaluate how students participate in discussions about body parts.
 Check how well students can apply the knowledge of body parts to real-life activities.
 Observe their ability to connect body parts with their functions.

G. ENRICHMENT AND REMEDIAL ACTIVITIES

Enrichment
 For students who understand the topic quickly, encourage them to create a short story or
presentation about how they use body parts in different activities (e.g., eating, playing, etc.).
 Provide extra worksheets or activities for them to explore body parts in more detail (e.g., learning
internal body parts or how the body works in different environments).
Remedial
 For students who need extra help, offer a recap lesson on body parts using flashcards or a song like
"Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes."
 Use simple matching games where students match body parts to their functions to reinforce
learning.
H. TEST OF UNDERSTANDING /UJI PEMAHAMAN

Ask students to point to body parts on

themselves or in a diagram and explain what they
are used for.

The Human Body and Its Functions

The human body is a remarkable machine made up of many different parts that work together. Each
part has a special job to do, helping us live and function every day.

Head: The head is the top part of the body. It holds the brain, which controls everything we do. Our
eyes, ears, nose, and mouth are also in the head. The eyes help us see, the ears let us hear, the nose
helps us smell, and the mouth allows us to eat, speak, and smile.
Shoulders: Shoulders connect the arms to the body. They allow us to lift and move our arms in many
directions.
Arms: Arms help us carry things, write, and play. The elbows in our arms allow them to bend.
Hands: Hands are used to hold things, write, and do many activities like playing instruments or cooking.
Each hand has five fingers, and they help us grip and touch.
Torso (Body): The torso is the main part of the body. It holds the heart, lungs, stomach, and other
important organs. The heart pumps blood, and the lungs help us breathe.
Legs: Legs allow us to stand, walk, run, and jump. The knees help our legs bend so we can move freely.
Feet: Feet support our body when we stand, walk, or run. They also help us balance and jump.
Each of these parts is very important. Without any one of them, it would be hard to do the things we do
every day.
Student’s Reading Material
 Simple short story or rhyme related to body parts, e.g., "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" and its
connection to daily activities.

C. GLOSSARY

Movement (Gerakan): The act of using body parts to move, such as walking or running.
Senses (Indra): The abilities to see, hear, taste, smell, and touch, which are connected to certain body
