Goal

our primary goal is to


To make the academic life of the architectural
students of hawassa University easier and
more intersting.

Target
Audience
The specific group we are primarily targetting
when creating this club are students who we
refer to as ‘ introverted students’. These stu-
dents are those who mostly keep to them-
selves and are missing out
Objectives
1. Identify problems and suggest solutions
2. Providing a platform to share knowledge on,
2.1 skills on extracurricular activities
2.2 Arch Skills
2.3 supportive materials
3. Enhancing the knowledge of architectural students
4. Creating a sense of family
5. Creating connections amongst batches, departments,
clubs and universities
What are we going
to provide for the
students?
We have divided them into 2 main categories: soft skills
and hard skills.
Hard skills:
- -software courses. Can be serious (long) and in form
of games
- consultation sessions
- -Jury simulations
- -Pre-entrance and pre-exit exam preparations
- -Skill enhancement events
- -Small exhibitions in and outside of the compound
(sketches, models, other skills)
- -internship opportunities

1. PRESIDENT
Responsibilities

Serve as chairman in meetings of the executives


and in all meetings of the membership.
Brainstorming and planning long-term and
high-level strategies to improve associations processes
and future.
Reviewing reports of various details such as inter-
nal affairs, financial reports and budgets regularly to
ensure success.
Making final decisions concerning members, ex-
ecutive members and the overall future of the associa-
tion if the executive members are not available.

2. VICE PRESIDENT
Responsibilities

Oversee the activity of different executive mem-


bers, teams and sub-teams, and reporting to the exec-
utive team at meetings.
presents the executive with metric-based perfor-
mance reports on a regular basis.
Report to the president about effective and inef-
fective changes.
Provide guidance and essential resources for
team heads.
3. INTERNAL RELATION/COMMUNICATION HEAD
Responsibilities

•Communication abilities, including written,


oral, and digital documents that will be submitted
to the Hawassa University administration offices
and follow up as necessary.
Creating and Managing digital/social media
activities of the association over various platforms.
Analytical abilities to resolve issues and
choose the most effective means of communica-
tion
Hosting social Events and external meetings.

4. SECRETARY
Responsibilities

Plans and participates in meetings on the ex-


ecutives' behalf, taking notes and drafting minutes
Performs office duties such as purchasing sup-
plies, keeping records, and conducting simple
bookkeeping.
Keep records of communications made by
the President, Vice and Communications head
and reporting back to the executive members on
weekly meetings.
Performs additional duties as assigned by ex-
ecutives, such as assisting the Communications/in-
ternal relation with written documents such as pro-
posals, and follow ups with the University adminis-
tration.
5. FINANCE
Responsibilities
Take control of obtaining exceptional acquisitions
with the president's consent.
Give a summary of the budget for any program
or event that has been designed/planned.
Compile and keep track of a semester-based
budget.
Look for/brainstorm event ideas that will assist in
the raising of funds for the association.

6. HR
Responsibilities

Processing membership requests, renewals, and


resignations updating and maintaining membership
records.
Creating and implementing methods for recruit-
ing new members.
Promote Teamwork and the ability to manage
and push their team to generate high-quality,
brand-driven content
Conflict resolving and planning bonding activities
for the team to encourage the sense of family be-
tween the executive team and team heads.
Guidelines
- As a university club, all members and the associa-
tion itself should abide to the Universities rules and regu-
lations.
- Each member has their own responsibilities and
they have to see them through.
- Tolerance
- Punctuality
- Respect the club and its objectives
- Be open to learning and teaching
- Events should be unbiased
- Proper use of the materials that the club provides

What do we want from the department?
Two main categories: tangible and nontangible
Tangible
- Providing appropriate materials
- Access to a architectural studio for holding club
meetings
- Mentoring sessions from selected teachers/pri-
vate consultations
- Provide opportunities for the club like: trainings,
competitions and seminars
- For the department to legalize/certify the club
- Provide an appropriate setting for events; dedi-
cated time and place.
Non-tangible
- Provide support

- Give us guidance on different skills we will need
when leading the club
