There is interrelationship and interdependence between the society and an enterprise

operating in the society. Goodwill and confidence are necessarily created among the
public. It can be done by the communication with the different media, which has to
project the image of the firm in the society. Through an effective external
communication system, an enterprise has to inform the society about its goals,
activities, progress and social responsibility.
9. For employees orientation: When a new employee enter into the organization at that
time he or she will be unknown to the organization programs, policies, culture etc.
Communication helps to make people acquainted with the co-employees, superior
and with the policies, objectives, rules and regulations of the organization.

1. Good communication means your message is being sent and those receiving it clearly
understand it in it’s entirely. Because of this, they are more likely to respond to it in a
positive manner. When this occurs, it means the message was communicated
effectively. A customer who receives poor communication from an employee will
most likely have an unfavorable response to a company. The reason for this could be
because the person listening does not possess a clear understanding of what the
person doing the talking is actually saying. Perhaps the request is unclear, or maybe
the person listening did not pay close enough attention.
2. Communication is one of the most basic functions of management in any
organization. Its importance can never be over emphasized. It is the process of
transmitting ideas, thoughts, information, opinions, and plans between various parts
of an organization or sometimes to those on the outside of an organization who have a
vested interest in the business and need to know theinformation.
3. Human relations cannot be present without communication. Good and effective
communication is required for both personal relationships and successful business
relationships. You can use business software and other popular applications for
writing communications, or you can utilize the telephone and in-person methods for
the spoken part. No matter how you communicate, make sure there are both talking
and listening going on and that you take the time to carefully consider what is being
said to you.
All three forms of communication are important to a business. The written
communications can serve as a record of sorts while the phone conversations can
facilitate the beginning of a great business relationship. The in-person communication
will also help to further promote the business principles as well as the products. Face-
to-face communication is especially important between companies and their
customers. This is what keeps them coming back time and time again and what can
place the business in the forefront of many situations that are perfect for acquiring
and maintaining customers.
4. It is an essential part of every business transaction between coworkers, management
and staff as well as company representatives and customers. Effective communication
facilitates the exchange of information between parties, which is necessary to perform
all aspects of business. For example, a supervisor’s communications to his staff
ensure that employees understand their duties.

Managerial task can only be performed when communication system is effective.
2. Enhance morale and relations: Effective communication emphasizes the
employee’s participation in management. It helps to build the employees morale and
cordial industrial relations between management and employees

3. Effective leadership: Effective leadership depends upon effective communication.
Two-way communication helps in effective communication. Managerial leader must
handle the subordinates. For ordering qualitative leadership is essential. And that can
be obtained from proper system of communication.
4. Mutual trust and confidence: Mutual trust and confidence between labor and
management is necessary for effective movement of organization. When there is
effective communication, it helps to reduce misunderstanding and develop mutual
trust.
5. Better decision: The success of organization can be measured in better decision.
When the information, data and other fact are not effectively communicated, it
hampers the decision making. So, when the facts are communicates to concerned
department, organization and person. It is easy to make decisions promptly.
6. Staffing: When the information are correctly communicates in time, it helps in the
function of selection, placement, socialization , promotion and transfer.
7. Better managerial concern: all managerial functions such as planning, organizing,
directing, controlling etc can’t be conducted without communication.

Business is communication. Each and every activity of business involves communication. It


helps to perform internal and external activities of business. It acts as a life line for a business. It is
nothing new but deals with business activities. Various experts have given various opinion
regarding the function of business communication, some of the notable function are highlighted
below:
1. Information function: Business has external and external activities are supported
and co-ordinate by internal activities. So, a bridge is required to integrate and adjust
and such is provided by business communication e.g. To sell any new product in the
market required advertisement because it highlight the product and customers are
