3. MECHATRONIC ADJUSTMENT 3.1 GENERAL PRECAUTIONS Replaced parts [Adjustment [Adjustment B Mechatroniccontroller| ° Governor (stepping) 3 _ motor 2 Proportional reducing - ° valve for loading mode Always perform mechatronie adjustments where any of the below parts is replaced 1) Mechatronic controller 2) Governor motor 3) Proportional reducing valve for loading mode Perform adjustments A and B when the mechatronic controller is replaced; perform adjustment A when the governor motor is replaced; and perform adjustment B when the proportional reducing valve for loading mode is replaced. Before performing each adjustment, turn the switch on the mechatronie controller toward “TEST” with the engine key swith OFF ‘This is common to both the A and B adjustments, If you turn on the engine key switch with the engine stopped and the controller switch at “TEST”, the auto accel lamp (LED on the cluster gauge) lights continuously. Lighting of the lamp confirms that the switch is at “TEST” 3.2 A ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE Adjustment start condition D Internal adjust switch Change to TEST ® Work mode H mode @ Auto accel oN @ Throttle Low idle © Engine Stop (ON position) Engine revolution adjustment (hereunder called A adjustment) when the mechatronie controller or the governor motor is replaced (2) Positioning E/G Low idle and Hi idle ‘ 1) Draw out the 1P coupler of the controller. 2} Joint the adjust harness with the coupler 8) Set the adjustment condition 4) Press the adjust harness switch for 3~5 seconds and let it free. 5) On thet occasion, CPU is displayed on the multi display At the same time, the governor motor is electrified and is fixed in the E/G Low idle position ©) If the switch is pressed for more than five seconds or where the adjustment condition is wrong, the display returns to the clock display. In that case, set the adjustment condition correctly once again. Adjust the pin-to-pin distance of the governor (C) to a specified value, insert the governor rod into the output shaft of the governor motor and assemble them together. Adjust the governor rod (C) till the governor lever (D) comes in contact with the E'G Low idle setscrew (G) 9) After tightening up the locknut of the rod, confirm the clearance once again, This completes the positioning of the E/G Low idle position. D 8 Pin to Pin distance of the governor rod, Model_[ mm (in) mm 1726.77) ¥ou_| 27 eso TAU oo waa TRU | aat s0 GOVERNOR LEVER (0) ve counter OY When bringing the governor lever into contact with the E/G Low idle setscrew in 8), set the spring (E) of the governor lever so it does not expand (extend). E/G LOW IDLE SIDE SETSCREW (6) E/G HI IDLE SIDE SETSCREW (F) SPRING (E) ‘ 1) If the adjust harness switch is depressed, the governor motor is de-electrified and freed. 2) Press the govemor lever (D) by hand so it comes in contact with the Hi idle setscrew ). 8) If the adjust harness switch is depressed with the governor lever pressed, the governor motor is fixed in the Hi idle position On that occasion, if there is clearance between the governor lever and the Hi idle setserew or if the spring is expanded by ‘excessive pressing, adjust the clearance by ‘means of the buzzer stop switch, If the buzzer stop switch (1) is pressed with the auto accel ewiteh on, the clearance decreases each time the switch is pushed (The governor lever moves by about 0.04mm (0.00157in) by one pressing.) If the buzzer stop switch is pressed with the auto accel switch off, the clearance increases each time it is pressed. If you press the adjust harness switch, power is supplied. The governor motor travels toward the stop screw by itself, indexes a Hi idle position and stores it in memory 6) The moment the Hi idle position is stored in the memory, the screen changes from CPU to clock disy This completes the matching of the Hi idle position 4 (2) Engine Revolution Matching Adjustment start condition 1) Internal adjust switch Change to “TEST” 2) Work mode H mode 3) Auto accel OFF 4) Throttle Low idle 5) Engine Running 1) Run the engine ‘or warming it up. 2) Set the adjustment condition 8) Press the adjust harness switch for 3~5 seconds and let it free. 4) The moment the multi display changes from clock to CPU display, power is supplied. The governor motor which is then electrified drives itself for about three minutes from a revolution below the Low idle to the Hi idle revolution, einen ta in bringing the governor Tov Th conan! wi The BG Hi le eetare, ae 0 the spring of the toverno lever dvs ot expand (exten wr: cK a on NG afc £/G HI IDLE SIDE SETSCREW (F) 4 The adjust harness switch is of momentary type with @ normally closed contact; it is opened if the switch is pressed and it is shorted if the ewiteh is let free, Where there is no adjust harness provided, disjoint the 1P connector, instead of pressing the switch. joint the 1P connector instead of turning off the ewiteh, 8 ‘The controller reads and stores changes in the engine revolution, 6) When the storage is over, CPU on the multi display changes to clock displ 7) After adjustment, remove the adjust harness ‘and connect the 1P coupler of the controller. 8) After turning the engine key to OFF, always bring the controller switch to “RUN”. 9) This completes the A adjustment, Afier adjustment, make sure that the engine revolution falls within the following standards: Hi idle Low idle YNU, YQU = 2980425rpm_ 8 7525rpm. LQU, LLU =: 2980425rpm == 875+25rpm. MU 5 9380225rpm «8 75425rpm In ease the engine revolution does not fall within the standard values, perform the A adjustment Mechatronics Adjustment- SK200 ~ SK270 M/C Perform Mechatronics Adjustment “A” USING THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE. CAUTION: Do not use the proce- ‘dure as found in the Mark IV Servicemans Handbook, for the minor change (m/c) machines listed above, 3.4 ADJUSTMENT "A’ MACHINE IN HYDRAULIC OIL CHECK POSITION MECHATRONIC CONTROLLER '8K200, $K220 & SK270 MIC A.
