Architectural Design Concept:
THE STACKED HORIZON
Inspiration:
“THE STACKED HORIZON” concept is inspired by the simplicity and elegance of horizontal lines in nature
– like layers of a horizon at sunset or sedimentary rock formations. This minimalist design emphasizes
clean lines, modularity, and functional integration, creating a visually striking yet approachable aesthetic.
Key Design Elements
Form and Structure
1. Stacked Box Design – Twin towers are composed of large, offset rectangular volumes stacked
vertically, creating terraces and overhangs. The staggered arrangement adds visual interest and
functionality while maintaining a clean geometric form.
2. Strong Horizontal Lines – The façade emphasizes horizontal bands of glass and solid panels,
creating a calm and rhythmic appearance.
3. Dynamic Asymmetry – Each tower’s stacked arrangement differs slightly, offering individuality
while maintaining harmony.
Façade Design
1. Minimalist Material Palette – A combination of smooth concrete, meal panels and high-
performance glass ensures a sleek, modern look.
2. Horizontal Louvers – Shading elements integrated into the façade enchase the design’s
horizontal theme while um improving energy efficiency.
3. Terrace Integration – Staggered box design naturally creates open terraces on multiple levels,
blending indoor and outdoor spaces.
Mixed-Used Program
1. Open Urban Plaza – A low-rise, rectangular podium with green roofs houses retail spaces, cafes,
and community facilities. The podium is surrounded by open plazas with minimal landscaping
and water feature to encourage public interaction.
2. Cultural Hub – A small auditorium or gallery space within the podium connects the towers to
community.
- Middle Levels
1. Office space - The middle section of the towers house modular office layouts with flexible
workspaces and breakout areas.
2. Open terraces – Some terraces and shared by the office tenants, offering spaces for meeting,
relaxation, and greenery.
- Upper Levels
1. Residential units – Simple yet luxurious apartments feature clean, rectangular layouts with large
windows and private balconies.
2. Sky lounges – Shared upper level balconies with seating, green areas and minimalist furniture
offer social and relaxation spaces.
Sustainability Features
1. Passive Shading – Horizontal overhangs created by the stacked design provide natural shading,
reducing energy consumptions.
2. Solar Roofs – Photovoltaic panels installed on the flat roof of each stacked volume generate
clean energy.
3. Green Terraces – The open terraces include vegetation that improves air quality and regulates
building temperatures.
4. Rainwater Harvesting – Systems on the roof and terraces collect water for reuse in irrigation and
non-potable applications.
Lighting Design
1. Linear lighting – Suitable linear LED lights accentuate the horizontal layers of the building at
night.
2. Warm and Simple – Soft, warm lighting highlights the buildings minimalism and creates a calm
ambiance.
Material Palette
1. Exteriors
- Smooth white concrete for the solid portions of the façade.
- Clear and tinted glass windows and curtain walls.
- Brushed metal accents for louvers and railings.
2. Interiors
- Minimalist finishes with polished wood, neutral tones and subtle stone elements for warmth and
elegance.

“The Stacked Horizon” offers a simple yet iconic design, focusing on clean lines, modular functionality,
and sustainability. It combines practicality with a timeless aesthetic, making it a perfect fit for urban
