Proposal
Early coding education has shown the potential to improve cognitive skills such as analytical
and problem-solving ability. As technology develops, including coding in early schooling
might provide kids with the tools they need to develop their cognitive abilities and logical
reasoning. According to research by Scherer et al. (2021) and Kocaman (2023), coding
improves cognitive abilities such as critical thinking and systematic problem-solving,
indicating that early programming experience may lead to more general academic
capabilities. Furthermore, systematic coding exercises can help even young children, like
five-year-olds, develop their logical and reasoning skills, according to a study by Metin et al.
(2023).
The research aims to evaluate how coding affects young learners' cognitive development,
with a concentration on the effects of early coding approaches on larger problem-solving and
analytical skills. The project will use data from experiments to find successful teaching
strategies and offer suggestions on how to customize coding education to encourage the
growth of critical cognitive abilities.
