Important Instructions for Candidates :


1. All candidates are required to download and carefully read the instructions given with the Admit Card and strictly adhere to
them. Your downloaded Admit card should prominently display your photograph, signature, Roll Number and Barcode.
These details are crucial for identification and verification purposes during the examination.
2. One single OMR Answer-sheet with pre-printed Roll No. will be provided to each candidate. Before using the OMR sheet,
please ensure that the OMR Answer Sheet belongs to you on the basis of Roll number. No extra Answer sheet will be
provided during the examination.
3. Candidates are advised to verify the location of the Examination Venue, at least a day in advance, so that they do not face
any problem on the day of Examination. All candidates are directed to report at least one and half hours (90 mins) before
commencement of Examination for thorough checking and frisking.
4. No candidate shall be permitted to enter the examination centre after the gate closing time, i.e the exam start time. No
candidate shall be permitted to enter the examination centre without Admit Card, valid Photo ID proof, and proper frisking
and examination of documents.
5. Frisking will be carried out by police and/or by authorized personnel manually as well as through metal detector.
6. No Candidate will be allowed to enter or leave the Examination Hall during the Examination hours unless directed to do so.
Candidate will be permitted to carry only the following items with them into the Examination Venue/Hall :
a. Hard Copy of Admit Card downloaded from the website (a clear print out on A4 size paper).
b. Valid Photo Identity Proof (in physical form), issued by Government - like Aadhaar card /PAN Card/ Driving
License/Voter ID etc.
c. Ball-point pen
d. Not more than One debit or credit card and minimum cash
e. Transparent personal water bottle.
7. Candidates are not allowed to carry any personal belongings including electronic devices, mobile phones, digital/smart
watches, any book or printed or hand written material and other banned/prohibited items. Examination Officials will not be
responsible for the safe custody of personal belongings and there will be no facility at the Centre for storage of the same.
Candidates will have to keep all his/her belongings and materials outside the Examination Centre at his/her own risk.
8. Any candidate, if found carrying any one or more of the above mentioned prohibited items, his/her candidature shall be
forfeited forthwith.
9. No Bio-breaks will be allowed during first one hour after beginning of the examination and last half an hour of the
examination.
10. The candidate should make sure that the corresponding Question Booklet Code is properly written/ shaded in the OMR
Answer- Sheet by him/her. For example, if a candidate gets Question Booklet Code 'A', then he/she should fill up 'A' in the
box provided in the OMR Answer-Sheet and also shade the circle 'A' in the OMR Answer-Sheet. Candidate should fill up the
particulars in the OMR Answer-Sheet, i.e. Question Booklet No., Question Booklet Code, etc. carefully.
11. Candidate should clearly write his/her Roll No. in the space provided in the Question Booklet only.
12. Candidate should do all the necessary Rough Work on the Question Booklet in the space provided.
13. If the OMR Answer Sheet/ Question Booklet received is found to be torn/damaged/misprinted, the candidate has to report
within 5(five) minutes of the receipt of the same.
14. Read the question carefully before marking the right answer in the appropriate circle/bubble of the OMR Answer-Sheet.
Only one correct answer, circle/bubble, either (A), (B), (C) or (D) is to be darkened completely for each answer on the OMR
Answer-Sheet, as firstly there is provision of negative marking of 0.50 mark per Question for wrong answer, and secondly
no extra OMR Answer Sheet will be provided for any mistake or correction. Moreover, in cases where candidate selects
more than one option of a question, the Question will not be evaluated.
15. Use the OMR Answer sheets carefully, otherwise the OMR Answer Sheet maybe treated as cancelled and shall not be
assessed. Some of the instances are:
a. Candidate should not make any stray marks on the OMR Answer-Sheet.
b. Candidate should not staple, fold, pin, wrinkle or damage the OMR Answer Sheet.
c. Candidate should not scratch, overwrite, tick mark, use whitener or do rough work on the OMR Answer Sheet.
16. Candidates will be permitted to take their Question Booklets with them after the examination. However, it is mandatory for
all candidates to submit their OMR Answer Sheets to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall. If any candidate
takes his/her OMR Answer Sheet along with the Question Booklet outside the examination hall and attempts to return it
afterwards, he/she will not be allowed to do so and his/her candidature will be cancelled.
17. Candidates will have to sign twice. Once in the Photo Attendance Sheet presented by the Invigilator on duty after taking
their seats in the Examination Hall, and the other, at the time of handing over their OMR Answer Sheet to the Invigilator
after completion of the Examination. Cases where a candidate has not signed twice as mentioned above, he/she shall be
treated as absent. The candidate should not leave the examination hall until instructions is received from the invigilator.
18. The candidate should use blue/black ball-point pen only for writing particulars and marking responses on the OMR
Answer-Sheet.
19. Candidate should note that each question is given in multilingual form, viz., in Assamese/Bengali/ Bodo/English
medium/version for his/her convenience and ready reference. In case of any discrepancy or confusion in the
medium/version, the English version will be treated as the authentic version.
20. Any wrong information provided during filling up of Application form like Educational Qualification, Caste, Category,
Employment Exchange Reg. No., Aadhaar Card No., category etc. will lead to rejection of candidature at any stage of the
recruitment process. Any mismatch including photograph between Admit Card and other ID card may also result in
cancellation of candidature at any point of time.
21. Any candidate found using unfair means or violating the above or any of the Examination rules shall be disqualified and
action will be taken as per norms/rules/acts. Candidates and/or any individual are cautioned not to indulge in use of unfair
means, impersonation etc. Candidates found using unfair means are liable for strict action under 'The Assam Public
Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act 2024'. Section 10(1) of the Act prescribes
penalty for any violation found, and as per the Act is punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 years
including cancellation of candidature.
