Delhi Private School Dubai is a private, co-educational institution established in 2003 for the diverse, expatriate community
in the UAE. The school is recognised and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of UAE and is affiliated to the
Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, India.
The school is located in The Gardens, Jebel Ali, Dubai. The campus is built on 6.83 acres and provides state-of-the art facilities
to offer an international holistic experience for students.
At present, the student strength is approximately 3,750.
The school offers a holistic learning programme for students from KG I to XII. The CBSE curriculum has been aligned, modified
and enhanced creatively in line with the vision of the school and the requirements of the UAE.
DPS Dubai is an inclusive school that welcomes children from all backgrounds and abilities. The DPS motto of “Service Before
Self” is the inspiration guiding our value-based curriculum that emphasises empathy, responsibility and caring for others.
Students are motivated to be responsible global citizens and sensitised to issues such as environmental conservation,
awareness, and respect for other cultures. The school strongly advocates integration by encouraging an understanding of
Emirati values, culture, and aspirations.

The curriculum is transacted in accordance with international Best Practices, with excellent outcomes both in the Indian CBSE
Board examination and in International benchmarking tests such as PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS. Differentiation ensures that the

Co-curricular activities go hand in hand with academics at DPS Dubai to develop wholesome personality rich in values,
culture, and tolerance, along with robust physical and mental capabilities. The comprehensive approach to education is

Global Citizenship: The school actively participates in Environment Drives to reduce global carbon footprint Seva Sankalp

Charities, fetes, and walkathons are organized regularly to garner funds for social causes. The clubs at DPS Dubai encourage
every child to develop a holistic personality. Performing Arts, Model U.N, Survivor Club, Music (Western and Indian), Quiz,
Art, Yoga, Environment, Health, and Awareness are some of the courses offered.
Pastoral Care: The student’s emotional quotient is enhanced through Life Skills Programs which integrate a multitude

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW:
DPS Dubai follows the CBSE curriculum that is enhanced to meet the challenging demands of a competitive international
environment and the Vision of the UAE.
CBSE Requirements
The school is compliant with all CBSE requirements and the curriculum is reviewed periodically to include changes that
arestipulated by the Board.
International Enhancement
• The balanced curriculum provides opportunities for the development of future fluencies.
• Provision and accommodations are made for SEND and Gifted students.
• There is a well-developed co-curricular program to foster leadership, resilience, empathy and responsibility.
• A wide choice of clubs and sports activities encourages students to make interest based choices.
• A major thrust is given to innovation via Design Thinking and other innovative programs.
• Activities to develop DUKS (Disposition, Understanding, Knowledge, Skills) are mapped out in the lessons.
• Curriculum transition is addressed by periodic reviews, ensuring age appropriate skills.
• In the Kindergarten, a hybrid curriculum is followed which is a harmonious blend of the best practices of CBSE
and EYFS. This balanced curriculum is multi-sensory and play-based.
