INTRODUCTION
Three Sinha is the only company in Roller Door industry and Heavy Steel Fabrication
(HSF) in Sri Lanka more than 54 years, who has won the “Product Award of excellence in
the category of Roller doors” for the sixth consecutive year at the "Architect 2017", the
annual awards ceremony organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects. We are an

Three Sinha does Supply and Fabrication of Fuel Storage Tank ( Above Ground ) with
accessories and according to the CPC (Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation) and IOC (Indian
Oil Corporation) standard.
STANDARDS FOR THE FABRICATION AND QUALITY OF TANK
The standards followed by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).
Two types of International Standards : ASTM and API
•American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
ASTM A36 steel is a carbon structural steel used in the manufacture of welded and bolted metal structures
for industrial and civil construction and bridge building. ASTM A36 steel is also used in the manufacture of
products and parts for general construction and mechanical engineering purposes.
• American Petroleum Institute (API)
API has led the development of petroleum, natural gas and petrochemical equipment and operating
standards. API maintains more than 800 standards and recommended practices. They are also the most
widely cited standards by the international regulatory community.

FUEL TANK – STANDARD FEATURES
SPECIFICATION
• Fabricate the tank shell and end plates with 6mm structural
steel according to ASTM A36 standard.
• 01 Manhole
• 1 1/2” Air Ventiliation Unit
• Filling pipe and dipstick according to the CPC Standard
• 1 1/4’’ Delivery flange with ball valve
• Level indicator and calibration chart
• Painted in two coats - zinc phosphate primer and two
industrial enamel grey top coats
• Tank Shell and end plate will be done surface preparation with
power brush cleaning with one primer coat and top coat.
• Ball value brass coupling set staninless steel steel chain
• Tank will be tested with soap solution at Pressure 8 PSI (Pound
per square inch)
