Overview

● Create a statement that explains what you’re going to do for the client.
○ I.e. “Write 2x 1,500 word blog posts each month based on topics and
keyword research submitted by [BRAND]’s content team.

Aims of the engagement

● What do you hope to achieve with the engagement? Don’t just think about
improving readership, traffic, or conversions.
● Use the same wording the client used in your discovery call or initial
emails—what do they want to achieve with the project?
○ I.e. “The aim of the working relationship is to keep the workflow
consistent and introduce new readers to [BRAND]’s product.”

How it works

● Include any documents you need upfront here.


○ I.e. “I’ll initially ask for supporting documents, including tone of voice
reviews, style guide, customer personas, and keyword research
spreadsheets”.

● Include the proposed price (or pricing tiers if you’re offering different
options).
○ I.e. “The project will be billed monthly at £1,500 for 2x approved final
drafts”.
● Add how you prefer to receive payment, including invoice dates and
payment expectations from the client’s side.

● Highlight what the next steps are–what does the client need to do? What
