IV. Procedures
A. Introduction (10 minutes)
1. Begin with a discussion on what students think holistic development means.
2. Explain that holistic development encompasses overall growth in various life areas.
3. Write the five aspects of holistic development on the board:
Physiological
Cognitive
Psychological
Spiritual
Social
B. Presentation (15 minutes)
1. Discuss each aspect in detail:
Physiological: Growth and health, including nutrition and physical activity.
Cognitive: Intellectual skills such as problem-solving and critical thinking.
Psychological: Emotional well-being and mental health awareness.
Spiritual: Understanding values, beliefs, and purpose in life.
Social: Developing interpersonal skills, teamwork, and community involvement.
2. Encourage students to share personal experiences related to these aspects.
C. Activity: Holistic Development Checklist (20 minutes)
1. Distribute the "Holistic Development Checklist" handout.
2. Instruct students to assess their own development in each area by checking appropriate boxes.
3. Allow time for reflection on strengths and areas needing improvement.
4. Have students brainstorm ways to enhance their growth in identified areas.
D. Group Discussion and Reflection (15 minutes)
1. Divide students into small groups (3-4 members).
2. Each group shares reflections and discusses strategies for improving holistic development.
3. Encourage active listening and constructive feedback within groups.
4. Groups present one strategy they developed to the class.
V. Conclusion (5 minutes)
1. Summarize key points discussed during the lesson.
