Narrative Report on INSET Day 3

Paradise Farms Community School
November 27, 2024
The third day of the In-Service Training (INSET) at Paradise Farms Community School was a
remarkable event centered on the theme “Elevating Teaching Experience through Mastery,
Inclusivity, and Lifelong Learning for Effective Curriculum Delivery.” Educators gathered to
deepen their understanding of innovative strategies for fostering early literacy and numeracy, an
essential foundation for lifelong learning.
The session was graced by the inspiring presence of Ma’am Daisy Lyn M. Noble from
Kakawate Elementary School, who delivered a comprehensive talk on “Enhancing Early Literacy
and Numeracy through Developmentally Appropriate Practices in the National Reading Program
and Learning Camps.” Her discussion emphasized the importance of aligning teaching strategies
with the developmental stages of learners to optimize their engagement and success. She
shared practical insights on implementing the National Reading Program and organizing Learning
Camps to create inclusive and dynamic learning environments. Her expertise sparked meaningful
discussions among participants, who expressed enthusiasm about applying these strategies in
their classrooms.
To complement the theoretical aspects of the session, a demonstration teaching activity
was conducted by Mr. Mark Arjay C. Salonga from Ricafort Elementary School. His engaging and
well-executed demo showcased innovative techniques for teaching literacy and numeracy,
bringing Ma’am Noble’s concepts to life. The participants were impressed by his creative use of
materials and his ability to connect with students effectively. The demonstration provided
concrete examples that reinforced the session's learning objectives, making it an invaluable part
of the day’s activities.
Overall, Day 3 of the INSET was a success, leaving participants motivated and equipped
with practical tools to enhance their teaching practices. The event underscored the commitment
of Paradise Farms Community School to fostering professional growth among its educators and
ensuring the delivery of quality education to its learners.
