EQUIPMENT LAY- OUT

 Coiled Tubing N2 Lift.

All the Layouts are a graphic description of the equipment spotting and the minimum
amount of equipment for the job submitted. Depending on the equipment availability
and the space on the location, this layout could be changed only by the job supervisor.
NPS will ensure enough equipment on location in accordance with the client’s official
request to meet the job purpose.

All fluids returns must be aligned to production line or waste pit. These need to be provided by
the client. Red Zone: The safety perimeter around the high pressure lines, which are
pressurized or under active pumping operations, is established by 1.5-2 times the swing
radius of the longest discharge joint in the event of unexpected failure of pressurized
pump(s), DME and/or the wellhead and the area from the high pressure manifold to the front
of the radiator on the HHP trailers (previously defined as controlled area).

Permissible Activities:
Activities permitted by Service Supervisor and taking less than one minute may include:
• Adjustment of flow and refilling of pump packing lube is permitted on pump unit.
• Opening and Closing valves is permitted after receiving permission from client
representative that it is safe to do so.
• No valves are to be closed with active pumping through them.
• Never open a valve without pressure equalization if possible.
• Never open a valve with pressure to atmosphere without going through a choke.
• Conduct pump and line checks from outside the demarcated Red Zone. If closer inspection
is required, minimize time spent on observation and consider whether such activities can

turns to open the swab and production valves.
• Record the stabilized production back-pressure = _ psi
• Record the CT Volume= bbl.
• Minimum Parameters to be recorded:
o Wellhead pressure (WHP).
o N2 pump rate, N2 total volume.

NOTE
With client representative
 Check on TRSCSSSV (Tubing retrievable surface controlled subsurface safety
valve) valve status at the beginning of the job. Strongly keep eye on the
pressure of the control line during the entire stimulation job to maintain the
valve in open position.

OPEN RETURN VALVE (PRODUCTION LINE)

1. Open the well and start RIH CT, start pumping N2 at depth of 500 m at N2 rate 400
scf/min, take returns via tubing to production line.

 Note: Client representative to decide the depth of N2 lifting.

2. The recommended CT running speed is 5 m/min through the well head restrictions,
otherwise a maximum RIH speed of 20 m/min below well head, perform pull test every
500 m intervals, monitor downstream and wellhead pressure to ensure flow line is
open to station, do not exceed 400 psi downstream.

3. RIH to a depth of 1,500m while pumping N2 at rate 400 scf/min, at 1,500 m increase
N2 rate up to 500 scf/min, at depth continue pumping N2 until fluid return stops or
hydrocarbon returns are observed, monitor the well for natural flow before
proceeding:

• If the well continue to flow naturally, go to step 6.

• If the well does not flow, proceed to step 4.

4. If the well does not flow, RIH CT of an additional 500 m while pumping N2 at a rate of 500 scf/m.

5. Keep pumping for at least 2-4 hours, depending on results, and check the well
behaviour, continue lifting at depth until fluid return stops or hydrocarbon returns are
observed, monitor the well for natural flow before proceeding,

• If the well does continue to flow naturally, go to step 6.

• If the well does not flow, RIH CT of an additional 500 m.

Note:

Following below is general guidance on how to improve the efficiency of kick off steps above.
 If the circulating pressure increases significantly above normal due to suspected high
hydrostatic fluid column above the nozzle, then the well has fluid inflow, raise up the
coil at appropriate speed while keep circulating nitrogen (N2) to help the liquid unload
from the well.
 If circulating pressure decreases significantly and observe the return on surface mainly
N2 gas, then the well is dry with no fluid inflow. So, run the coil deeper at appropriate
speed to locate the fluid for unloading.
 Above steps are guidelines only. Some adjustment might be required based on actual
job and well conditions.
 MAX CT depth 3,000 mRT (100 m above top of perf.)

6. Once the well shows capability to flow naturally and a stable flow rate has been
established, POOH as per NPS procedures (SOP-CT-004 Running in Hole & Pull Out Of
Hole) while pumping N2 at minimum rate, upon reaching a depth of 1,000 m, shut
down the N2 unit, close in the reel isolation valve, and continue POOH as long as the
well is still flowing.

 Note: client representative to evaluate the productivity of the well and confirm POOH CT to surface.

7. POOH CT to surface, hold TBT prior to commencing the rig down review risk
assessments and Rig down as per NPS procedures (SOP-CT-002 Rig Up & Rig Down).
