Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant
◆ The waste heat recovery power plant recovers heat
from the high-temperature exhaust gas discharged
from various plants, and generates electric energy.
◆ Many cement plants installed the system because of
its excellent energy-saving effects.
◆ The system is being used to recover waste heat not
only at cement plants but also at steel-making and
non-ferrous smelting plants.
◆ The AQC boiler recovers waste heat from the air
quenching cooler that quenches baked clinker (Boiler
inlet gas temperature: 360ºC). A new gas take off point
is installed at high gas temperature side on the AQC
for high efficiency.

◆ At a standard plant where daily production of clinker is 5,000 tons, 9,000 kW can be generated at the
generator terminal worth ¥550,000,000 annually (assuming the unit price of electric energy is ¥7.9/kWh).
◆ Since the first waste heat recovery power plant was delivered to a cement plant (Gifu Plant
of Sumitomo Osaka Cement) in 1980, we have supplied 11 of the 22 plants established in
Japan.
