CROCHET INSTRUCTION

Recommendations:

1. Every detail begins with an amigurumi ring (a magic ring). Crochet in a spiral,
do not crochet a slip stitch at the end of the row.

2. Try to crochet tightly, if you find your stitches are loose try a smaller hook
size.

3. During crocheting, always stuff your toy with polyfill. Firmly filling will assure
your toy keeps it shape. Use wooden sticks: chinese chopsticks / skewers /
manicure sticks. For finer details, choose thinner sticks.

4. If your toy is for child under 3, use safety eyes or embroidered eyes. And also
do not add small and fragile decorative elements.

Crochet from the bottom up, so start from the legs.

FIRST LEG

Using beige yarn.

Rd 1: 6sc in MR

Rds 2-4 (3 rounds): 6sc (6 sts)

Rd 5: 2sc, 2sc inc, 3sc (7 sts)

Rd 6: 3sc, 2sc inc, 3sc (8 sts)

Rd 7: 8sc (8 sts)

Rd 8: 4sc, 2sc inc, 3sc (9 sts)

Rd 9: 9sc (9 sts)

FO last stitch and cut yarn.

Marina Kolmykova (@_little_owlet_) 5

SECOND LEG

Repeat rounds 1-9 but do not fasten off.

JOINING LEGS

Continue to crochet from the second leg. At the beginning of the rounds use the
marker (I have a red thread). It will help you to control the beginning of the
rounds.

R9 crochet across both legs in a circle with eight chain stitches between them,
so that in total you will have 34 stitches.

You can see how to join the legs by clicking on the following link

Соединение ножек/ Joining legs

Rd9 begin from 2nd leg. Crochet 5 sc around the 2nd leg. Then crocheta
 chain
of8 ch (= ch8-chain). Still holding the last chain stitch of thech8-chainon your
hook, take the 1st leg and crochet 9 sc around 1st leg.

When we begin crocheting around the leg, we are going to start with a dec in
the last stitch of the 9th round of the leg and the first stitch of round 10
(in this way the amount of stitches around the leg remain 9). By doing this there
will be no hole visible between the legs and the body.

To do this, insert your hook into the base of last loop of Rd9, yarn over and pull
up a loop. You should have two loops on your hook. After that insert your hook
in the next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 3 loops on your
hook. Yarn over and crochet all 3 loop together. First stitch is done.

Marina Kolmykova (@_little_owlet_) 6

Continue to crochet the remaining 8 sc. You should crochet around leg and finish
at the other side of chain.

Then8 sc along the ch8-chainand 4 sc around the remaining stitches of the 2nd
leg.

Also here crochet a dec in the last stitch of round 9 on the leg and the first
stitch of round 10.After that crochet the remaining 4 sc.

Rd 10: 5 sc,8
 ch, 9 sc, 8 sc, 4 sc (34 sts)

You will now begin the increase rounds. These increases are at the joins between
the legs and tummy.

Rd 11: 5sc, 2sc inc, 6sc, 2sc inc, 9sc, 2sc inc, 6sc, 2sc inc,

4 sc (38 sts)

Rd 12: 5sc, 2sc inc, 8sc, 2sc inc, 9sc, 2

 sc inc, 8sc, 2sc inc,

4sc (42sts)

Rds 13-18: 6 rounds sc (42 sts)

Recommendations
[Link] you need to stuff the legs. Use a thin wooden stick.

2. After several repeated rounds, the beginning of the rounds start to displace .
Move the beginning of the round back. To do this crochet 2 extra sc in the
beginning of Rd 19. The total amount of stitches in the roundremains the same.

Check yourself:fold your body in half, the beginning of the round should be
exactly on the side.

Rd 19: [dec, 19sc]*2 (40 sts)

ASSEMBLING AND DECORATION

1. Sew the head to the body with a hidden seam.

If you are using a cotter pin, skip this step.

2. Sew the arms to the body. Make sure they are on one level.

4. Decorate the ears. Take the fabric and cut out two pieces that are the same
shape as the crocheted ears but a little bit bigger. Sew the fabric to the
crocheted ear with a hidden seam. Sew the ears to the head.

5. Sew the horns to the head.

5. Decorate the face: fix or embroider the eyes, tint the cheeks with a pastel
blush. Embroider the nose and the white spots on the head.

6. You can add some cute details to your deer to make it special.

Marina Kolmykova (@_little_owlet_) 13

The deer is done!

Don't forget to kiss his nose and say "Happy Birthday!"))
