This project will involve setting up computers in a

facility or in this case a RV, where the poor, homeless,
and the unfortunate can come and work on a resume,
clean up, and gain the basic knowledge and skill set to
be successful in a job interview and to get them started
on the right track for success.
The Facility
The RV will come equipped with two (5 PC)
stations.
Internet access.
A printer.
A separate office space. (to work and relax)
A fully functional bathroom.

The Digital
Divide/Target
The gap between those who can afford computers
and Internet access with those who cannot afford these
luxuries.
Homeless and the poor or unfortunate.
We are trying to help those who want to help
themselves.
All we can do is give people the opportunities, they
have to be the ones to make the decision.
How will this increase
digital diversity?
It will give access to the benefits of the computer and the
Internet to those who otherwise would not be able to access them.

The Technology Involved

A computer. 1. Google
The Internet. 2.Docs.
Google
Google Drive. 3.Sheets.
Google

What is the training
involved?
The individuals will be taught how to:

Make a resume.

How to navigate the Internet.

How to effectively use Google.

How to prepare and take a good job interview.

How will we provide the
training?
The training will be provided on a volunteer basis. (this is
going to be the hardest part)

Finding people who are willing to sacrifice their time to help

teach and equip people to better themselves in the working
world.

I will reach out to:

Schools.

Churches.

Personal Connections.
What Tech support is needed
and who will provide it?
This project will require:

Electricity.

Basic computer software.

Internet access.

Volunteers for workshops.

Virus protection.

Parental Blocks.

Printer = $150
Computers =
$500/computer. (10x) = Miscellaneous Supplies =

$5,000 $150/month
Internet = $60/month

Funding
This will be funded by donations.

I will petition for money from the state and/or city.

I will also ask for donations form churches and

businesses.
Goals, Outcomes,
Future
We’re hoping that within a year we will be able to lower the unemployment rate and increase the local
economy.

Ways it can be successful:

It will benefit local businesses with workers and recognition from the community.

It can mend families.

I can see this model adopted in other cities and possibly build a fleet of Mobile Operating Job Opportunities.

It can develop from just a project into a non-profit organization.

Potential Problems
Getting people to volunteer. (reach out to colleges, churches, and personal connections)

The ability to get the information out to the homeless so that they know the schedule for the Mobile Operating
Job Opportunity.

We can make a monthly schedule and hand it out to people that work directly with the homeless and poor.

Churches.
Prisons.
Soup Kitchens.

Homeless shelters.
Chamber of
Commerce.
