II. BRIEF CONTEXT/PERSPECTIVE OF THE ACTIVITY
PART I
One of the major problems in our society is poverty. One of the main
reasons is being jobless. In Philippines unemployment still remained in the
past decade and I think it is because of the growing population which
causes to increase the unemployed of the citizen. Poverty is driven by
unemployment. Labor is frequently the poor’s only needed that can be
used to improve their situation. As a result, for poverty reduction, and
economic development, making opportunity and developing meaningful
project is vital. The society especially the government needed to create
quality of jobs for the people who are jobless, particularly woman and
young people that provide both financial security and empowerment.
PART II
One of the main problems that caused unemployment and poverty
is the current situation that we have. Covid-19 makes us crazy and
unproductive. We are trapped by this situation and still we can’t resolve it.
By this situation, many problems is increasing and making our country
poorer specially my Barangay. Barangay Gibanga is located in Sariaya,
Quezon. One of the major problems in my barangay is unemployment. I’ve
seen many women are pregnant at their early age and dropped out in
school which caused lower degree and by that they can’t easily get a job
that will sustain their everyday needs. Given the situation, I’m just afraid
that one day the situation will be pass to their children, they don’t have
a bright future that awaits them, and they can’t get out in that situation.
I’m one of those person that seen and experience the situation that we
have in our barangay and I think giving great opportunity to my “ka-
barangay” will be beneficial for them. Making them productive in
uncertain situation will help them to grow and make their lives to have a
future.
PART III
By giving the people to have an opportunity like this, many young
woman in my barangay will become productive in this time of pandemic.
The reason why I choose this project proposal and chosen young woman in
my baranagay is, I believe that many women have a wide length of patient
and able to do the task that given by this proposal. Embroidery will help
the young woman to make design of their own and will help them to
create an embroidery products be sold. The organization chose
embroidery because this does not use any machine since, online selling is
also a trend; they can sell the product of their own online. Different
techniques in embroidering will be teach to them and the basic stitches
using hands will be introduce. As one of the leader with this proposal, our
organization make a promise to help the young woman of my barangay to
lift up them for good and get out of poverty. By giving them an
opportunity likes this, even if they don’t have any degree they can use this
technical skill to provide them money and buy their everyday needs.
PART IV
The project proposal of my organization is teaching young woman
the basic of embroidering and basic stitches using hands. With this, It will
help the young woman to create different items that they can use and sell
to the market and make an income that will help them to buy their
everyday needs. The money that we accumulated through this project will
give to the participants also. They will get the first profit of their time and
effort. The organization will make a partnership to the barangay and make
a partnership with GABRIELA. They are organization that help and educate
and empower the woman and fight with their rights.
III. OBJECTIVES
1 To help the young woman to get out of poverty
2. To make an opportunity for them
