1. Description and Operation
A. General
The flash light assembly has been designed to provide a source of
illumination. When not in use the flash light is stowed in a retention
bracket. When stowed in the retention bracket the flash light is recharged.
For further details and equipment specifications of the flash light refer
to the DME Corp Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) 25-60-11, publication
number Y3-01-0034.
B. Physical Description (Refer to Figure 1)
The flashlight assembly is a modified DME Corp unit.
For assembly -401
The modification of this unit introduces a sleeve and two jiffy junctions.
For assembly -402
The modification of this unit replaces the red Light Emitting Diode (LED)
with a green LED and introduces, a caution placard, a nameplate, sleeves and
two jiffy junctions.

publication number Y3-01-0034.

A. Electrical Inspection
Connect a 28 Vdc supply to the retention bracket splices and check that the
LED illuminates red for assembly -401 and green for assembly -402.

10. Illustrated Parts List
A. Introduction
(1) Purpose
The purpose of this illustrated parts list is to provide a means of
locating and identifying parts of the unit and to facilitate the
provisioning, storing and issuing of replaceable parts, in accordance
with the approved shop maintenance policy.
(2) How to Use the IPL
A series of illustrations is provided on which the replaceable items in
the unit are shown. These illustrations identify the parts by means of
item numbers. The physical location and the item number of each part
are thus determined by examination of the appropriate illustration.
Each illustration is followed by a detailed parts list in which all the
parts are listed in item number sequence. From this list the user can
obtain the part number, description, usage and quantity of each item.
The nomenclature is indented to show the relationship to the main
assembly. A dash (-) in the Fig./Item column, preceding the number,
indicates that the item is not shown on the illustration.
Where applicable, vendors are identified by a code number, preceded by
a capital 'V, following the item description in the nomenclature
column. The code number is as specified in the current issue of
'Federal Supply Code for Manufacturers', Catalogue Handbooks H4-1, H4-3
and/or NATO codes.
For detailed information concerning Fon numbers refer to Standards
Manual Substitute and Equivalent List, Technical Handbook (TH) -16.
