(SIM) website

Log into Covisint, the Ford Supplier Portal
Click the “Applications” tab
Scroll down to “Supplier Improvement Metrics (New
SIM) – SIM SUPERG Read” and click the link
NOTE: If you already have access to the Ford Supplier Portal,
but do not yet have access to this application, you must follow
the instructions below.
◦ In the left menu bar click "Administration Tools"
◦ Select "request a service pack" under "my profile"
◦ Under "Ford Supplier Portal" click "request sub-package"
◦ Click the request button next to the application you need
access to

Select “Supplier Site” as viewpoint
Enter your 5 character GSDB code into “Site Code” field
Click Search

By clicking on the “VIEWS” Dropdown Menu, you will see a
list of screens that contain different information about your
site
Select “Site Status and Profile”

This screen provides information on:
◦ Current Q1 Status
◦ PPAP Levels for Production and Service
◦ Certification expiration dates
◦ GSDB roles/settings and a Metric Redirection Reference

Verify that the following information is correct on the “Site
Status and Profile” Screen
Provide Direct Contact Information with extensions
Reference Module 18 “GSDB Online” for details on updating Contact
Information
Site name and address
Contact Information
Plant Manager
Quality Manager
Supplier delivery contact

If this information needs to be revised, please notify your Corporate
Security Administrator (CSA)
Your CSA can be found by clicking the “Related Links” button at the
top of the screen. Click on Corporate Security Administrator”, then
type your site or parent code into the field and click the “Check
Registration Status” button

SIM is refreshed on a weekly and/or daily basis, depending on the
metric to be reported.

Click on “Q1 SCORING DETAIL” under the “VIEWS” tab

◦ Present Q1 Status
◦ Target Q1 Status
◦ Recommended Q1 Status
◦ A breakdown of where Q1 points were gained and lost

Capable Systems:
◦ Your Manufacturing Site Assessment (MSA) should be current with
action plans completed and submitted in a timely manner
◦ Status for 3rd Party certifications such as IATF 16949 and ISO-14001
as well as compliance to MMOG and CQI-9

◦ Commodity PPM (Production and Service)
◦ QR Rate (Production and Service)

Commodity PPM
• Click on Production or Service under Commodity PPM for more detail.
The various commodity codes are shown with related PPM information
The commodity code being used in the Q1 calculation is identified
If an invalid commodity code is being used to calculate the Q1 score,
contact your Ford STA Engineer or the Ford Buyer immediately for
resolution

Delivery Performance:
Under the “Q1 Scoring Detail” tab you can view the delivery score
Selecting the Production or Service link under the “Delivery Type” will
display the Delivery Score summary
To review detailed delivery information for Service or Production, click the
“Super-G” link under the “View” tab.

Production/Service PPM and Delivery
◦ Detailed Quality Reject information is available by clicking the QR Detail link
under the Production or Service Grouping

The QR Detail link will allow you to search Quality Rejects
by Groups or by Date Range

After searching, a table will display the Reject
Information in detail
If there are any errors in the data, please contact your
Ford STA for resolution

Contacts for service are found in SIM NG by selecting the Super-G
view and selecting Super-G Home Page
STA: Supplier should always contact service STA for quality issues concerns
before shipping to FCSD
Service Delivery Performance Specialist (SDPS) for delivery score concerns
and corrective delivery actions
Supply Chain Release Analyst for issues related to releases, cum adjustment
New Model Release Analyst for new model issues related to Releases
EDI Coordinators for electronic data connection issues
Supplier is responsible for keeping Supplier QC Manager and Plant Manager
contacts up to date in SIM
Note: Service Product Analyst is found in MMP and should be contacted for
issues with a proposed new model service program (GPMA Screen). Suppliers
must ship to release requiring WERs accuracy for change notice dates.

◦ Click on the “Help” icon at the top of the SIM page to access the SIM SharePoint
site
◦ Frequently Asked Questions, SIM Support and a link to in-depth web-based
training can be found there
◦ You can also contact the appropriate Ford personnel (STA, Delivery Analyst,
Product Analyst or Releasing Analyst) regarding SIM performance questions
