Similarities:
The poem of Our Heaven Above and the song Piliin mo ang Pilipinas are both written by
Filipino poets, Angeline Quinto and Tina R Lizama. Both poets came from the region of
the National Capital Region known as NCR. Both texts have ending rhymes like in the
poem "Our Heaven Above" which has ending rhymes like "friends" and "end", and
"whole" and "soul". And for the song "Piliin mo ang Pilipinas by Angeline Quinto" has
also had to end rhymes like "pinili" and "hari", "kulay" and "away". Both literary texts
are made for our origins, like in the song Piliin mo ang Pilipinas, is a song that is made
for us Filipinos and it says that we must choose always our beloved country, while the
poem Our Heaven Above, emphasizes our creator which is God and this explains that
both texts are made because of our origin.

"To bring us closer together, as lovers and as friends

As separate hearts once before, as a single heart in the end
You touched my life and made me whole
Deep within and throughout my lonely soul"
- Our Heaven Above

"At ang bayan nyang pinili

Nasa dulo ng bahag-hari
Kaya isang libong kulay
Nang aakit kumakaway"

Differences:
The poem Pilin mo ang Pilipinas and Our Heaven Above is quite different since the
writer's intention is to create a patriotic song that will be sung again. According to the
song's writer, the timing is ideal for its publication, particularly among youths, because
it is nationalistic and an honor to have such an outstanding melody. The song Choose
the Philippines' primary goal is to reintroduce Filipinos to the rest of the world in order
to show their enthusiasm and beauty. While the poem Our Heaven Above reflects God
and expresses gratitude for what he has done, it also depicts what they have
accomplished and how powerful they are in terms of love. There are significant
distinctions between these two poems since the first, which is Piliin mo ang Pilipinas, is
about national pride. When their letters are placed out, Our Heaven Above expresses
more sensations and emotions.
Purpose:
The poem is not intending to persuade. It is a love poem that conveys extremely deep
gratitude as well as affection to a loved one. The speaker is presenting the positive
prospect where they are content and in harmony with having found their soulmate and
are grateful for everything that their partner has brought to their lives. However, the
poem mainly looks at the expression of their bond instead of trying to impose ideas on
a person, other half it conveys a love [Link] poem discusses how the partner of the
author has given the author a vision of what the deep love and connection that the
author has found with their consort mean. The poem is a heartfelt expression of
gratitude and appreciation for this person who is the source of so much joy in the
author's life. The poem suggests that due to their partner, one can feel the gap in the
wholeness of life filled, which in turn brings happiness and fulfillment. The writer is not
aiming at the readers for getting funnes but, the poem is a medium for stirring
emotions, and thus, creating a connection between the reader and the text through the
shared feelings of love and gratitude. The poet's deep expression of their senses may
be able to provoke emotions such as empathy, joy, or it would make the audience
desire a similar connect to the reader, the poet's try to explain about love and being
true to your emotions.

The song Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas is a song written by the indigenous peoples of the
Philippines encouraging Filipinos to first consider and travel within their own country,
thereby supporting the Bohol Roots of the musical artist who was responsible for its
production and the promotion of local tourism. Consequently, this song is part of the
Bohol musical legacy. It is generally believed that the greatness of music lies in its
being of the present. As a result of this, the song has been given the status of a tourist
song and a cultural tourism product for the various local endeavors such as community
eco-tourism initiatives. A very informative music video like a travel ad with a song that
motivates you to travel around your country is a prime example of one such idea. The
story of the song is a travel song and a nostalgic song and the video shows the piling of
the end sounds where you can watch and participate in the creation of the themes. It is
a call to our fellow humans to go out and explore the places that are less known to us.
The song goes on a journey along these lines and takes the audience on that voyage.
This means that the song's message is that new spirits may bring revival of the old,
lessen the fall and decay, increase the feelings of joy, vitality, and wellness, give one
the identity as a part of a meaningful community, and inspire the citizens to more adore
and appreciate the most beautiful ornaments of the area which are the lovely
mountains, rivers and other natural resources, rather than a dependency on the mere
materiality of the product. The song is all over the differences in each place and
because of this people are added in terms of knowledge. The song probably left some
Filipinos smiling because some images of their motherland and a beautiful place were
shown in the video. A thing that the song achieved for the country is to make the song
a popular sing-along song where the country is sung.

Deep gratitude and love in this specific part of the poem, the poet strongly thanks and
congrats his partner for entering his life that was otherwise nonexistent of love and joy.
A transformative relationship the poet underlines the idea that the partner has had a
significant effect on them, they have undone their aloofness and made them feel
complete. A connection beyond words the poet shares her spiritual connection with him
and also told him that they were destined to be together, showing their love is meant to
be. Mutual growth and support the poet cannot help but remember how the strong love
they have for each other helped them awaken as humans, and how they stood by each
other in times of hardship. Eternal love the poet is life-lasting love by saying that he is
sure that their love stands the test of time, thus, it is eternal. A heavenly experience the
poet describes the blissful and fulfilling nature of their relationship using the metaphor
of "Our Heaven Above". To sum it up, the poet is overwhelmed by the beauty and
constructive aspects of love thus, he expresses heartfelt gratitude for finding his
soulmate. The message of the poet's trying to express too her emotion about love, she
talks about the person she love at this moment, she is very thankful for what she felt.

Be confident and proud of our own hues "Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas" is a touching song
Blooming of love for the Philippines the song underlines the depth of the Philippines
affection for its nation it not only is a love of their country itself but also the beauty it
shows, the people who inhabit it. Nationalism promotes nationalism and encourages
Filipinos to be proud of their life and culture. Unification the song brings together
standpoints from different converging paths of the Filipinos, leaving out their
differences. We will have to drive all the pain away in order to show clearly what we
mean. "Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas" is a song, which narrates the theme of a hopeless
Filipino citizen becoming so hopeful of the future of our beloved country. On the other
hand, the latter is the way to the synthesis of different cultures among the Filipinos that
makes them stronger, smarter, and more interesting structure of various aspects of
human existence and nature as a hand. The song "Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas" is a song that
encourages Filipinos to choose the Philippines and be the first to. Proper for the source
of love for the Philippines the music is the one that badgers will bring to the fore of it is
the colorful hue it is demonstrated through the love of the place's underlying nature of
its inherent beauty and the people living in it. Nationalism advocates for nationalism
and asks Filipinos to be proud of their acquisition and development.
Love Can't Let You Go, celebrating the love through thank you notes, expressing love,
and the poem's careful consideration of their emotions are truly the main themes the
poem concentrates on. I think most likely, the poet intended to emphasize the profound
love between the couple and how they are bound together by love and are celebrating
their love through these expressions. The poet likely wanted to celebrate the deep and
enduring relationship her shares with his partner. An Act of Giving Thanks the poem is a
gentle poem that is simply a thank you. It indicates the poet is grateful for the company
of the loved one. He would like to thank his partner for the love, the support, and the
development they have had together. They may want to compose something that will
serve as a remembrance of that moment in time when they are happiest. Besides this,
the ones intend the poem apart as the documentation of the captivated and thrilling
love that was between the two of them. To Give Joy this poem, if it is shared, may be
used by the poet as a means to bring some joy into other people's lives. It could also
lead to a reflection on self and relationships. In general, the poem appears to be an
expression of love and gratitude in a heartrending manner.

Why "Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas" Was Written is a patriotic song that is devoted to the
hearts of its personal people and is designed to inspire national pride among the
Filipinos, at home and abroad, to become liveable. It also aims at instilling the values of
a green world in today's youngest generation of Filipinos. Because it is also a form of
poetry that is woven around the elements of the Philippines' beauty, earth, and water
and that it can then be a "no time and space" bonding with its inhabitants. All in all the
aesthetics of this logo fit perfectly into the pure white background and as such the
whole thing comes across as an ideal symbol of clarity and purity that it actually
represents.

Structures:
What rhyme schemes do this text employ?
Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas" by Angeline Quinto uses simple end rhyme schemes to enhance
its melody and message. The chorus follows an AABB pattern of francesco petrarch
italian sonnet, with lines like Pilipinas and perlas forming rhyming pairs, while the
verses often use an ABAB structure of William Shakespearean english sonnets, where
alternating lines rhyme, such as saya and nga. These straightforward rhyme patterns
contribute to the song's entertaining and uplifting tone, making it easy to sing along.
The rhymes flow naturally, emphasizing the patriotic and celebratory theme of choosing
the beauty and greatness of the Philippines. Overall, the rhyme schemes help deliver
the song's message with clarity and musicality.
Considering the title, which words best describe the initial tone of this text?
Persuasive is one word I could think of that best describes the tone of this song. From
the word “Piliin” of this song's title, it allows the audience to make deliberate decisions
to favor the Philippines. In addition, the title also conveys an uplifting and motivational
tone. In which it suggests that choosing the Philippines is something to be proud of. It
also conveys a positive outlook on what the country has to offer. Lastly, it instills a
sense of encouraging them to take part in building a better future for their country.

Is the text in regular stanzaic form (two or more equal clusters of lines) or irregular
form? If irregular, why?
Analyzing the song, I can assume that this is in regular stanzaic form, as the song has
clear, recurring verses and chorus, which repeat throughout the song. This being said,
the repetition and regularity are characteristics of a regular stanzaic form. As stated
that a regular stanzaic form has equal clusters of lines, this song definitely fits that
definition. As it is divided into nearly equal sections with a similar number of lines which
creates a balanced structure. Lastly, it is generally characterized that many songs often
follow a regular stanzaic form.

What rhyme schemes do this text employ?

The poem written by Tina Lizama entitled “Our Heaven Above”, employs pairs of
rhyming lines or couplets. Which means that this poem creates an AABB/CCDD pattern
in several sections of it. Additionally, there is also a consistent use of end rhymes that
contribute to the overall flow of the poem. Besides that, the poem ended with the same
rhyme scheme used earlier, emphasizing the phrase “Our Heaven Above” thus giving
the poem a sense of closure and symmetry. Hence, the rhyme scheme varies slightly,
but it is mostly composed of couplets.

Considering the title, which words best describe the initial tone of this text?
I think words such as serene and reverent best describe the tone of the said text. For
the reason that the poem evokes a sense of peace, calm, spirituality and reverence.
This shows that “Our Heaven Above” suggests a perfect state, free from troubles of the
earthly world. In addition to that, it also suggests that the text may begin with a solemn
tone, expressing gratitude for something greater than us. Furthermore “hopeful” is also
another word that describes this text. Since, “Heaven” is commonly linked with the idea
of hope and is considered as a place where things are better and where peace is
eternal.
Is the text in regular stanzaic form (two or more equal clusters of lines) or irregular
form? If irregular, why?
The text is in irregular form because it shows that there is no fixed stanza structure,
meaning that the said poem does not follow a stanzaic form. Instead, the poem flows
continuously without clear divisions into stanzas or equal groupings of lines. Another
factor that makes this poem irregular is because of its flow of ideas. This allows the
poem to develop naturally following the flow of thoughts and emotions of the writer.
This contributes to the personal and heartfelt tone of the poem.
