DAY WISE PROGRAM DETAILS
Stay at Ocean Spray Resorts or similar on triple sharing basis. Travel from and back to School by bus.

DAY 01 BANGALORE - PONDICHERRY


● Assemble at a pre decided time and proceed towards
Pondicherry. (Approx 454 kms 9hrs)
● Enroute breakfast at a local restaurant,
● Visit to Dakshinachitra – It’s one-of-a-kind, open air living
museum – orientation tour followed by hands-on workshop on
Glass Sculpting OR Pattachitra painting and traditional South
Indian lunch.
● Later Visit the Madras Crocodile Bank for a workshop and
interactive session on Reptile Conservation programs –
students will get to watch live venom extraction process,
discussion on topics on conservation, VR experience, crocodile
feeding (subject to visit timings), volunteering programs and
ending the session by busting some myths about reptiles.
● Lunch will be at local restaurant.
● After the visit, proceed to Pondicherry and check in to the hotel.
● Evening reflections followed by dinner and overnight at hotel
(B,L,D)

DAY 02 PONDICHERRY
● After breakfast, proceed for to visit Auroville - an experimental township for a tour and workshop
● We start the Auroville visit with a walking tour with an expert guide and Aurovillian. As a part of the walking tour,
we will visit Matrimandir (from outside), Savitri Bhavan & Boutique
● Later proceed for lunch at the Auroville. Lunch will be at Auroville at the Solar canteen – a large community
kitchen serving free lunches for the people living in Auroville and serving local public schools as a service. (subject to
prior bookings) OR lunch will be at a local restaurant.
● Post lunch, we will proceed for hands-on activities (activities would be either one of these options – (Coconut
shell workshop, paper craft workshop or palm Leaf workshop.)
● After the Auroville visit, proceed to visit Aurobindo Ashram and later proceed to the beach for some fun time
and games.
● Back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay (B,L,D)

DAY 03 PONDICHERRY
● After early breakfast,visit Jothi Silambam Kshakthiriya Gurukulam - the only Kshatriya Gurukulam
(warrior school) in India, which is run to preserve and spread the art of ancient Pallava warriors.
Students will participate in an interactive session with the experts and get a chance to practice
basics of this traditional art form from the experts.
● Post lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to visit Bless NGO - Engage in interactions and activities with
school students, also participate in village development programs like ideating and helping fisherman's
community with vendor development and other issues.
● Evening back to the hotel for reflections, dinner and overnight stay. (B,L,D)

DAY 04 DEPARTURE
● After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed for a visit to Aurobindo Paper factory – visit the
facility and learn how hand-made paper is made using organic materials.
● Head towards Mahabalipuram - known for its temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in
the 7th and 8th centuries.
● Lunch at a local restaurant.
● Visit the Five Rathas - Each of the five monuments in the Pancha Rathas complex resembles a chariot
(ratha), and each is carved over a single, long stone or monolith, of granite, which slopes in north-south
direction with a slight incline.Shore Temple - a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984 It is one of the
oldest structural (versus rock-cut) stone temples of South India & Krishna's Butterball - it is a gigantic
granite boulder resting on a short incline in the historical town
● Later proceed towards Bangalore. Come home with cherished memories of the trip! (B,L)
Itinerary subject to some change as per numbers and ground conditions. Students could be in smaller teams.
