of multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) will enable multiple agents (e.g., routers and switches) to
collaborate in managing network resources effectively. Each agent will learn from its environment, sharing
insights to optimize decisions regarding flow allocation, represented by variables 𝑥 and 𝑥 , which denote
the flow between nodes A to B and B to C, respectively.

The increasing demand for high-speed internet connectivity, especially in areas with low connection quality,
necessitates innovative approaches to optimize network traffic. This research aims to explore the application
of Volterra–Fredholm integral equations within a hybrid mathematical model that incorporates adaptive
bandwidth allocation and multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) algorithms to enhance network
performance and connectivity.

Objectives
1. Model Development: Create a mathematical model that incorporates Volterra–Fredholm integral
equations to represent the dynamics of network traffic.
2. Adaptive Bandwidth Allocation: Utilize adaptive bandwidth allocation strategies controlled by
reinforcement learning to optimize resource distribution based on real-time feedback from the network.
3. Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning: Implement MARL algorithms to enable multiple agents (e.g.,
routers, switches) to collaboratively manage network resources and optimize traffic flow.
4. Traffic Prediction: Implement predictive algorithms based on historical traffic data to forecast
congestion and optimize resource allocation dynamically.

Methodology
 Mathematical Modeling: Develop a framework using Volterra–Fredholm integral equations to describe
the time-dependent behavior of network traffic, defining relationships between various traffic
parameters and their impact on overall network performance.
 Adaptive Bandwidth Allocation: Integrate RL techniques such as Q-learning and its variants (e.g.,
Informed Q-learning and Relational Q-learning) to dynamically allocate bandwidth based on current
network conditions and QoS requirements. This approach allows for conflict-free scheduling of
bandwidth resources while adapting to real-time performance data

Incorporating Adaptive Bandwidth Allocation

bandwidth areas by optimizing traffic flow and reducing congestion through adaptive bandwidth
