“MATHEMATICS CLUB” PROJECT
PURPOSE
The mathematics area of the Municipal Technical Industrial Educational Institution,
has as its purpose for this school year, to implement the mathematics club
as a space to recreate mathematics with the support of the students of the
University of Nariño and the voluntary participation of students of the
institution, with exceptional performances through the development of its
skills in the area. The Mathematics Club arises from the interest in the
mathematics of a group of young students and some teachers of the
area.
WHAT IS THE MATH CLUB?
The Mathematics Club is an environment to contemplate Mathematics from
angles that are not usually present in school practice: the
experimental, aesthetic, recreational and cultural, and its purpose is to provide a
enrichment opportunity to a group of students who are capable of
dedicate part of their free time to working on this subject, stimulated by the
presence of other colleagues and by one or more experts who will
coordinate. It is expected that the Mathematics club will be integrated into the organization
school, constituting a way of developing a differentiated curriculum that
takes into account the diversity of students' interests and motivations.
Quite possibly the first group of people who dedicated themselves to the task
mathematician in a social field were the Pythagoreans, although their objectives
They were more inclined towards the religious and the political.
ORGANIZATION
For its organization, there is permanent advice from a counselor and
the regular attendance of a group of tenth semester students of the
Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Nariño and students from the
IEM Industrial Technician, with responsibility, interest in mathematical work,
enthusiasm and leadership.
ORGANIZING COMMITTEE
The organizing committee It is made up of 1 or 2
teachers from the area of
mathematics committed to the project, 2 students of degrees
