Subject: 2025 CLUSTER II ATHLETIC MEET
Date: January 14, 2025
1. The Cluster II Athletic Meet is scheduled on January 23-25, 2025, in Albay Provincial Sports
Center, Guinobatan Albay, and other identified playing venues. This year’s Palaro theme is,
“School Sports: Promoting Active Participation for Lifelong Engagement and Developing
Learners’ Proficiency in Chosen Sports.”
2. This activity aims to showcase the different sports clubs and select the best athletes,
coaches, and sports officials who will represent Cluster II in the Palarong Panlalawigan,
scheduled on February 11-14, 2025, to maintain the championship.
3. Delegates shall be billeted in Marcial O. Rańola Memorial School. Rooms will be assigned per
municipality, not per school. Delegation heads are advised to arrange the billeting quarter
assigned to them within their group. Advance arrival must be coordinated with the Committee
on Billeting of Delegation.
4. The Opening Parade from MORMS to Albay Provincial Sports Center shall be held on January
23, 2024 @ 8:00 in the morning. This shall be immediately followed by the Opening Program.
Delegations shall wear their respective uniform during the Parade. Colors are designated to
each delegation to wit:
Daraga- Blue
Camalig- Orange
Guinobatan- White
Jovellar- Red
Manito- Neon Green and Black
5. A solidarity Meeting will be held on January 22, 2025 @ 1:00 in the afternoon. This shall be
attended by the Technical Officials, Coaches, Asst. Coaches and Chaperons. The Tournament
Directors are expected to discuss their Tournament Guidelines and Schedule of Games during
this Meeting.
6. Athletes’ credentials must be submitted to the Cluster Screening and Accreditation
Committee on or before January 21, 2025, at the Principal’s Office of MORMS for screening.
The cut-off date of the athlete’s date of birth is January 1, 2007. Coaches, Asst. Coaches and
Chaperons shall also submit their credentials. Pencak Silat, Tennis, and Wushu shall not be
played in the Cluster Meet due to the unavailability of technical officials on the said events, but
athletes’ and coaches’ credentials for these events must still be submitted as proof of the
team’s entry, which will be the basis in their inclusion to the delegation list for Palarong
Panlalawigan. Refer to the enclosure, which contains the required documents to be submitted
to the Cluster Screening and Accreditation Committee. Athletes who were not screened and
accredited due to failure of submission or lack of credentials shall not be allowed to play. In the
same way, coaches, asst. coaches, and chaperons who were not screened and accredited shall
not be allowed to serve.
7. Ground preparations for the playing venues of Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Football,
Futsal, and Softball shall be on January 22, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. onwards. This shall be
facilitated by the Tournament Directors and Technical Officials of the identified sports events.
8. As agreed, the concerned Tournament Director shall coordinate with and/or prepare a
request to use non-DepED secondary school facilities as playing venues for some sports events.
9. Operational expenses related to running the athletic meet shall be charged against the
Cluster II Fund, while expenses related to participation in the Cluster II Athletic Meet shall be
charged against the local fund (SEF, MOOE, and others), subject to the usual budgeting and
accounting rules and regulations.
