HOW DO I APPLY FOR STUDENT FINANCE?

1 Click on the QR code or follow the link below

2 Scroll down the page to Application Form, Policies and Guidance

3 Click on the word HERE, this will then take you to the relevant application (example below)

Continue to scroll down the screen and you will see the bursary options that may be available to you, if
you meet the criteria. Please read each of the options before applying, you will see only the Bursaries
that are available to you, due either because of your age, or the course you have applied for and been
accepted for.

3 This will bring you down to where you will enter your details:
 Student ID
 Forename
 Surname
 Date of Birth

Please also indicate whether you have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP)

4 Click Start Application

5 Please read the requirements for each of the Bursaries available to you, to make certain that you
click the right one.

6 Click which bursary you wish to apply for.

7 Read the list of relevant evidence and click the name of the evidence that you will be uploading.
Please note with Universal Credit, we do need all pages of the most recent three consecutive
monthly statements

8 Select from drop down menu, to select the type of evidence that you are uploading, enter any extra
information in the Notes box. Browse to find files then click. Remember, you will need to upload all fo
the pages. If the letter states that there is more than 1 page, we need all of the pages attached to the
application when completing it. Upload

9 Continue down the page to travel, indicating which method of transport you require. Please note that
train travel will only be considered for students who live outside of the local area, as served by the More
Bus ie Swanage, Weymouth, Brockenhurst and Lymington etc. Termly rail cards, will be purchased if
they meet the criteria. If requesting bus transport credit will be loaded on to the More Bus app.

10 Please read Declaration and sign and date the application. Please note we will need both the student’s
signature together with the parent, if the student is below 18 years of age.

11 Please note if you were a student with us in the last academic year, then you will need to complete the
Progressing student application form as long as the household income has not changed from last year.
If there have been changes then the student will need to email studentfinance@[Link] using Student
ID and name in the subject line, with the fresh income evidence.
