Morning Session I learned about performance-based portfolio is
necessary because it is a collection of student work
that reflects their learning achievements, skills, and
growth over time. It goes beyond traditional
assessment methods like tests or quizzes by
emphasizing the process and progress of learning,
often through real-world tasks and practical
application. It is a holistic view of students
performance over time. It allows me to assess not
only the final product but also how students
approach problem-solving, their creativity,
persistence, and ability to improve based on
feedback.
Day 2 session is all about the Design Thinking
Process in Science 7 to Learners. This technique
encourages the learner to be innovative and
creative at the same time. It also develops their
empathy and collaboration where empathy is a key
stage in Design Thinking, where students consider
Afternoon Session the needs of others in problem-solving. For
instance, students might design a project related to
improving health in a community, considering
people's daily challenges. The process also
emphasizes collaboration. Students often work in
groups, where they must communicate ideas, listen
to each other, and combine their skills to come up
with a final solution.
