Marking Policy

Sp. = spelling; corrections to be written out in book and learnt at home


P. = punctuation; note the error; ask if unsure
C.L. = mistake with capital letter; usually that you should have used one but did not, sometimes that you
have used one where it is not required.
Gr. = grammar; often a verb has been used in the wrong tense or you are switching back forth between
different tenses incorrectly.

S- Strengths – what you are doing well


I – Improvements – what you need to do to succeed
R- Response – write your spellings out here; also re-write any highlighted sentences. You can also ask any
questions you may have or comment on how you think your learning is going.
