The System
This uses the ONLINE Racing Post website

After 11.00 every morning (the professionals will have backed the more likely bets by then) log on to the
Racing Post website. This can cost money so a good tip is to use the APP which has much of this info
for free. (Avilabe Andriod and IoS)

Look at each race for the afternoon/evening

Ignore all selling, all apprentice, all amateur and maiden 2yo races, the latter unless your selection was
2nd last time with most horses rated.

Do not bet against a C&D winner that won lto

As you scroll through the fixtures note the horses selected by SPOTLIGHT which will be shown under the
race card in capital letters. The horse must have been placed in previous two races, one this season

Now look at the RACING POST RATINGS where the horse must be top rated and tipped together with
SPOTLIGHT, TOPSPEED and POSTDATA and must have equal or most ticks under ability and a tick for
‘going’. If no tick check the horse out to see if it has run well previously on similar going (sometimes
POSTDATA has been found to be inaccurate).

The quickest way to find your horse is to click on SELECTIONS and ensure that all the Racing Post’s
tipsters tip the same horse. Sometimes one or the other will not have a selection which is ok as long it
isn’t for another horse, except RPR which must be a tip

Check SELECTIONS and make sure that the horse is well backed by the newspaper tipsters (at least 7
but the higher the better)

Under ‘STATS’ the trainer and jockey should have together a total of twenty or more % in the last 14 days
or overall if only few recent races run

Finally, and most importantly, check the live market. Make sure that the odds in the current market are
equal or lower than those predicted in the forecast under the race card, ensuring that the horse isn’t
drifting out. ½ a point or so is acceptable but beware of more than a full point

The horse should not be lower than 8/11 when placing your bet, IT’S JUST NOT WORTH IT!!

Back the selected horses to win @ 5% of bank, 10% when you feel more confident. Doubles should be
considered when available. Always, always use Best Odds Guaranteed bookies

Strike rate: means tested at seventy percent
