3. Warm-up Activity: Conduct light physical stretching to prepare for activity.
b. Motivation
1. Show a short video clip of a volleyball match where referees and players use hand

proper hand signals."
c. Objectives
Announce the objectives to the students to set clear expectations.
d. Discussion

cross-court block), no block (closed fist), etc.
3. Demonstration: Teacher demonstrates each signal and explains its meaning, using a
student volunteer when needed.
4. Practice: Divide the class into small groups:
o One group acts as referees practicing hand signals.
o Another group acts as players responding to signals during mock gameplay.
o Rotate roles to ensure everyone participates.
e. Generalization
Recap the lesson by asking:
o “What are the key referee hand signals and their meanings?”
o “Why is it important for players to know these signals?”
o “How can mastering these signals improve teamwork and sportsmanship?”

and player signals (10 points).
V. ASSIGNMENTS
1. Research Task: Find at least two additional hand signals used in beach volleyball and
explain their purpose.
2. Practical Task: Practice the signals learned today with a family member or friend and
demonstrate your skills in the next class.
