INTRODUCTION
LIGHT GAUGE STEEL FRAME IS A CONSTRUCTION
TECHNOLOGY THAT USES COLD-FORMED STEEL AS THE
PRIMARY CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL.
IT CAN BE USED FOR ROOFTOP EXTENSIONS, FLOOR SYSTEMS,
WALL SYSTEMS, DECKS AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE BUILDING.

Aspect LGSF Traditional
Speed of Construction Faster Slower
LGSF vs. Material Efficiency High (Pre-engineered) Medium
Traditional Durability Resistant to pests Susceptible to pests
Construction Sustainability
Highly recyclable Less recyclable
Cost Lower labor costs Higher overall costs
15
ADVANTAGES
Strength and durability High seismic performance
Recyclable Low life cycle cost
Expansion and relocation Eco friendly
Lower construction costs Reduces Carbon footprints
Quality Safety
Less raw material and labour cost Design Flexibility
Faster construction time
16
DISADVANTAGES
Future modifications are difficult
Requires skilled labour
Noise transmission
Higher initial cost
Lack of manufacturing unit
Conducts electricity if not well isolated

CONCLUSION
LGSF CONSTRUCTION OFFERS A SUSTAINABLE,
EFFICIENT, AND DURABLE ALTERNATIVE TO
TRADITIONAL CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES. ITS
ADAPTABILITY TO DIVERSE APPLICATIONS, COUPLED
WITH TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS, POSITIONS IT
AS A LEADING CHOICE FOR MODERN CONSTRUCTION
NEEDS. DESPITE INITIAL CHALLENGES LIKE COST AND
WORKFORCE TRAINING, ITS LONG-TERM BENEFITS AND
ALIGNMENT WITH SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES MAKE IT AN
INVALUABLE ASSET TO THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.
