Introduction (10 minutes)

Slide 1: Visual: A path leading to a glowing star

🌟
Instructor:
"Assalamu Alaikum, my awesome friends! I’m so excited to be here with all of you! Let’s get
started with a journey to our goals today. But before we begin, tell me—what’s the most exciting
thing you’ve done this week? Type it in the chat!"
Wait for responses
"Wow, those are some amazing things! I think we’re all ready for an exciting journey ahead.
Let’s kick things off by learning about goals!"

What Are Goals? (15 minutes)

Slide 2: Visual: A map with “X” marking the treasure

Instructor (enthusiastically):
"Alright, let’s start with a super important question—what is a goal? You can type your answers
in the chat!"
Wait for responses
"YES! A goal is something you want to achieve, like a treasure on a map! And guess what?
Today we’re going to set our own treasure maps with goals that help us get closer to Allah!"

Story Connection:
"Let me tell you a story about Abdullah. He asked the Prophet ‫ﷺ‬, ‘How can I do something
that will make Allah happy?’ The Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬said, ‘Set a purpose and take steps toward it.’
Abdullah realized that setting goals was the way to reach his treasure—Allah’s love and
blessings."

Interactive Activity:
"Who can share one goal they have? Maybe it's learning a new skill, praying on time, or
anything that helps you get closer to your treasure! Type it in the chat!"
Engage with responses and make them feel proud of their goals.

Why Set Goals? (15 minutes)

Slide 3: Visual: A child climbing steps labeled Effort, Patience, Success

Instructor (laughing):
"Okay, now I want you to imagine climbing a mountain. You can’t just jump to the top, right?
What do you need? Steps! Each step is an effort toward your goal, just like the little kid in this
picture!"

Interactive Poll:
"Who loves climbing stairs? Let me know if you think climbing to your goal feels like climbing
steps! Type 'Yes!' if you agree!"
Wait for responses

Instructor:
"That’s right! Goals give us focus, purpose, and the amazing feeling of success when we reach
the top! Abdullah, for example, wanted to memorize Surah Al-Fatihah perfectly. Each day, he
worked hard, and when he succeeded, the happiness was SO big!"

Interactive Activity:
"Alright, let's get creative! In the chat, I want you to type your goal and what the ‘first step’
toward it would be. If your goal is to memorize a surah, what’s your first step?"
Wait for responses, engage with each kid’s first step.

Faith & Purpose (20 minutes)

Slide 4: Visual: A glowing heart

🤔
Instructor (thoughtful):
"Now, let’s talk about purpose. Why do you think Allah created YOU? Everyone has a
special purpose! Type in the chat: what do you think is your purpose?"

Pause for responses, celebrate their ideas

"Wow, those are awesome thoughts! You’re all on the right track. Allah created us to worship
Him, to do good things, and to help others. Abdullah found his purpose when he realized that
learning the Quran and teaching others was his path to success."

Quran Quote:
"‘Indeed, I have not created Jinn and mankind except to worship Me.’ (Quran 51:56)"

Instructor (motivating):
"Your purpose is to get closer to Allah! Whether it's learning, helping, or being kind—every little
thing you do for Allah brings you closer to Him. Let’s all take a moment and think about what our
purpose is. Type it in the chat if you want!"

SMART Goals (20 minutes)

Slide 5: Visual: A chart showing SMART Goals

Instructor (with excitement):
"Okay, time to become goal-setting experts with SMART goals! Let’s make them specific,
measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Sounds fancy, right? But don’t worry, it’s
easy!"

Breakdown of SMART Goals:

"S - Specific. Make it clear!
M - Measurable. Can you track it?
A - Achievable. Is it possible?
R - Relevant. Does it matter to you?
T - Time-bound. When will you finish?"

Story Connection:
"Abdullah set a SMART goal: ‘I will memorize one ayah of the Quran every day after Fajr.’
That’s SMART because he knew exactly what to do, how to track it, and when to finish!"

Interactive Activity:
"Let’s try it together! Think of one SMART goal you can set this week. Maybe it’s memorizing a
small part of the Quran or helping at home. Share your SMART goal in the chat, and let’s cheer
each other on!"

Wait for responses, engage with the goals and give feedback.

Storytime Break (20 minutes)

Slide 6: Visual: A little boy with a toy sailboat by a river

Instructor (dramatically):
"Time for a fun story! This one’s about never giving up! Are you ready?"

Story:
"Once, there was a boy named Musa who loved building toy boats. One day, he made a boat
and took it to the river. But a strong wind blew it far away! He was so sad, but guess what? He

🎉
didn’t give up. He saved his pocket money, learned to make a stronger sail, and tried again. His
boat sailed perfectly! "

Interactive Question:
"Has anyone here ever tried something, failed, and then tried again? What did you learn? Type
your answer in the chat!"
Wait for responses, encourage them to share their challenges and victories.

Overcoming Challenges (20 minutes)

Slide 7: Visual: A climber reaching the top of a mountain

Instructor (motivating):
"Sometimes, it feels like things are too hard, right? But challenges are part of the journey.
Abdullah, when memorizing long surahs, faced challenges. But he didn’t give up. He
remembered the Prophet ‫’ﷺ‬s advice: ‘Tie your camel and trust in Allah.’ And with hard work
and duas, he succeeded."

Interactive Activity:
"When things get tough, what do you do to keep going? Type your answers in the chat!"
Pause and discuss patience, trust in Allah, and working hard.

Dua:
"Let’s make a dua together: ‘Oh Allah, make it easy for me.’ Let’s all say it together!"
Pause for everyone to say the dua.

Setting Faith-Based Goals (20 minutes)

Slide 8: Visual: Kids helping parents and being kind to others

Instructor (warmly):
"Now, let’s set some faith-based goals that bring us closer to Allah. These could be simple
things like praying on time, memorizing a surah, being kind to your siblings, or helping your
parents."

Story Connection:
"Abdullah set a goal to make his parents happy. He started helping his mom at home, and the
dua she made for him brought blessings to everything he did!"

Interactive Activity:
"Think of one small faith-based goal you can set today. Type it in the chat, and let’s inspire each
other!"
Wait for responses and encourage them to be proud of their goals.

Mini Workshop: Your Turn to Set Goals (15 minutes)

Slide 9: Visual: Kids holding papers with their goals

Instructor (cheerfully):
"Alright, my awesome goal-setters, it’s your turn! Write down one personal goal and one
faith-based goal. You can share one in the chat or keep it to yourself—whatever you prefer!"

Give time for everyone to write down their goals.

"Who wants to share? Don’t be shy! Type your goal in the chat, and let’s give each other a
round of applause!"
Engage with everyone who shares.

Wrap-Up & Dua (10 minutes)

Slide 10: Visual: Smiling children with stars above them

🌟
Instructor (with energy):
"You all did SUCH an amazing job today! Every step you take toward your goal brings you
closer to success and Allah’s pleasure. Remember, like Abdullah, you can achieve great things
with purpose and determination!"

Dua:
"‘Oh Allah, guide me to what pleases You and helps me succeed.’ Ameen!"

Instructor (cheerfully):

"Thank you for joining me today! Keep working on your goals, and I hope to hear about your
successes soon! Let’s give ourselves a big virtual high-five! "

End of Workshop!
