Arctic Fox
Did you know that the fur of Arctic fox can
change with the seasons? In the winter, its
fur is white to keeps them warm and
camouflage in the snow. In the summer, its
fur turns gray or brown. The Arctic fox has
the warmest fur of all the Arctic animals.
The Arctic foxes live in burrows. They can
live around 6 years in the wild. Arctic foxes
eat birds, fish, and vegetables. They can grow to be around 26 inches
long and weigh 17 pounds. An Arctic fox also has a thick layer of hair on
the bottom of its feet. This keeps their feet from slipping when they’re
walking or running on the frozen Arctic surface.
