ASSEMBLY
TECHNIQUE & INFORMATION
 Joining amigurumi parts is a lot easier with planning.
 Mark your placement with yarn or by pinning it with needles.
 Using the right colour yarn (or long tail left for sewing) and tightening the seam correctly will make the
two parts blend will become almost unnoticeable.
 After Joining pieces, Hide your end tails by inserting the needle (Exactly where you tied off) and pulling
it through your amigurumi to the other side. Pull tight and snip off at the base where it comes out (be
careful not to snip too closely as you will permanently damage your stitches).
 You can use any stitch you like to sew the parts. I always use the mattress stitch because it blends in
perfectly.

JOINING WITH MATTRESS STITCH

On part 1, insert the needle behind the bar between the two stitches and pull through and tighten the
seam.
Continue to part 2 with exactly the same action in the adjacent stitch to the rst stitch made. Alternate
between part 1 and part 2 until the parts are joined.

PLACEMENT
 MUZZLE- Attach nose between round 2 and 3, Sew onto face between round 11-21 (going up slightly
between the eyes).
 EARS - Join between round 3-10 from top op the head. Approx 5-6sts from the eye on each side.
 ARMS - Find the center of the side body. Join from round 27-28 stretching over 2 rounds on each side.
 LEGS - Join over 2 rounds, adjacent to arms (center of side body) on round 36-37 of the body (Be
mindful of the position of the feet).
 TAIL - Find the center of the bottom between the legs and join at round 36-37.
 EYEBROWS - Embroider 1 round above eye, crossing diagonally over 2 rounds. 5sts long.
 NOSE LINE - Embroider from exatly under the nose 3-5 rounds down.
 BOW & BUTTONS - Anywhere you like, it is YOUR piece of art.
 HEART - Facing your amigurumi. Attach a long piece of yarn colour A on the inside of the left arm (your
left) at round 4. Insert the needle in the top left side of the heart pulling straight through to the right
side. Continue by inserting the needle at the same position as the left arm at round 4 and pull straight
through again. Pull tight and fasten off. Hide your ends inside the arm.
